Silver, Blue and White
More simple cards — this time with silver embossing, Bashful Blue and white. Clean and crisp for the holidays. Here’s the group shot.
Aside from the reindeer by Hero Arts and the Twinkle Stickers by A Muse, these are made with all SU product, except, of course, my mirrored silver cardstock, called Mirricard, that I got from Marco’s Paper. If you haven’t checked it out, they have an AMAZING assortment of papers of ANY type you could imagine and a lot of product that goes along with paper — it’s a fun stop!!!
I can’t tell you how I enjoy making these type of cards!!! I LOVE this mirrored cardstock. A reader mentioned in a comment the other day that she would not *waste* this gorgeous paper by using it for a mat — well, I guess it depends on how you look at it — YES, using it as a mat does hide most of the piece, but in my opinion, it MAKES the card, so to me it’s not a waste — although I certainly understand what she meant.
These mittens as well as the star above are in a set by SU called Scandinavian Seasons — LOVE that set!!! Pretty stuff!!! White is PTI, blue is Bashful Blue by SU, as is the ribbon. Sentiments are all from SU’sMany Merry Messages, a great Christmas sentiment set.
This image is called Leeping Reindeer by Hero Arts. I’ve had him for years and always pull him out at this time of year. Today he is a *blue-nosed* reindeer — LOL!!! The sentiment was embossed first and then cut with the Tag 5 die by Spellbinders. I used an SU corner rounder on this one.
And that about does it for now!!! I am really enjoying these clean and simple cards to add to my Christmas supply. As always, I thank you so much for stopping in. And I have a special announcement to make in just a little while — fun, fun!!! See you soon!!!

Just beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial on the two-tone embossing, also. I just demonstrated embossing at a class tonight and it never ceases to amaze me how it amazes them!!! This would be a stepped up “wow” for my experienced stampers!!!

Hey!! That reader was me:) It’s not really would not “waste” more “could not bring myself to” – but then, I can hardly bring myself to use it at all because I hoard it. These cards are going a long way to making me rethink that though – especially now I know I can get more right here in the US without having to import from the UK.
The cards you have made are gorgeous!
What a fantastic set of cards, Sharon – I love their cleanliness and sheen. Such pristeen works of art. Congratulations.

Sharon, there is nothing simple about any of your cards.
They are elegant, sophisticated and incredibly beautiful. I case your cards all the time. You may be amazed by the number if hits on your blog, but the blog hoppers are not. Keep up sharing.
Love your work.
That is so funny! I got a similar remark at my last card party from a customer about wasting the dp as a mat or a layer! I just didn’t see it the same way. I saw it as you did!
STUNNING!!……you always out do yourself.

omg! LOVE THESE! Now I have to go find my mirror cardstock somewhere in my stash!!!!
Another set of fantastic cards thanks again for the inspiration. Just wish I could get the set of SU stamps – I have never seen them here in the UK. But at least I can get all the mirror I want very easily … He He
Love your work!!! Just found the time to really look through a lot of it. Regarding the mirri paper – I make my mat and then cut out the inside to use later. I do it cuz I’m cheap, but you could look it as recycling too!
