She is also turning this project into a Challenge for you to participate in, allowing you to show all of us your creations. Be sure to check it out!!! There are sure to be so many lovely samples to inspire!!!
And please check out the following blogs for some wonderful Challenge Samples and inspiration: Jennifer, Julie, AJ, Tammy, Janine, and Jerri.
Dee Jackson – Stampin cuz I Luv 2 – Dee has some BLOG CANDY today!
Sharon Johnson – No Time To Stamp? – Me again, with more BLOG CANDY!
The Blog Candy I have to offer you today was once again so very generously donated by the folks at JustRite. Today I have a box of Special Occasions Font (3 sizes per box, plus lots of extra pretty little do-dads!) and a set of Harmony Rectangle Stampers. There are 2 stampers in the box, a large and a small, as shown above. I’ve used the S from the Special Occasions Font in my project today.
To be entered for this Blog Candy drawing, all you need to do is comment below and tell me what you serve for a quick meal during this busy time of year. For me the busiest night, and when I want things to be calm rather than hectic, is Christmas Eve. We go to church and then come home and open gifts.I am always wrapping last minute gifts to bring to friends at church, etc. so I need a quick meal. For many years I’ve been cooking a Stouffer’s Frozen Lasagna on Christmas Eve for our dinner. I really love their Italian Lasagna – great flavor! I serve it with hot garlic bread and a salad, and it makes a great, warm and comforting, quick meal!!! Works for me!!! And now I know I’ll be totally embarrassed by all the wonderful meals you all are probably cooking up!!! LOL!!!
This post will be closed for Blog Candy entries at 6:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008. Shortly thereafter a random winner will be selected by random.org. The winner will be posted both on this thread and at Party Central. OK, now on to my project:
I played in Deb’s Challenge today, listed above. This is one more gift set that I needed to get done for a gift. I really love this combination of retired SU colors — Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi with Spring Silhouettes DP. I made 6 simple cards and a box to present them in.
This is the box. The ribbon is just wrapped around it and tied. I just made the box top to look like one of the cards. The entire set is somewhat of a repeat of a pink and brown set I did 2 weeks over over at the JustRite blog. In fact, there is a tutorial with photos and measurements there on how to make this box which is sized perfectly to fit A-2 cards and envelopes. Click here to see that tutorial. But quickly, the box base is cut 8 3/8 x 7″ and scored on all 4 sides at 1 1/4″. The box top is cut 8.5″ x 7 1/8″ and scored on all 4 sides at 1 1/4″. Super easy and quick to do when you set the stopper guide on your Scor-It at 1 1/4″.
I made 2 of this card. It’s my favorite top fold and I’ve rounded the bottom corners on all of these. I find it particularly quick to make cards when I cover the entire card front with DP, rather than make layers/mats. It’s probably not the most efficient use of DP, having to cut it to 4 1/4″, but I love the look and you can’t beat the ease.
Here’s the next, and there are 2 of these as well. My monograms for this setwere made using the Damask Borders Deluxe Kit, only I switched out the initial. This kit comes with Times New Roman Font, but I wanted to use the bit more *pretty* Special Occasions Font today,so I did! That’s the great thing with the JustRite products — SO interchangeable!!! Most things work together, and you can’t beat that!!! Variety is the spice of life!!!
And here’s the last of the cards. I made 2 of these as well. To actually stamp my monograms for this set, I did it the easy way. I inked my entire stamp in Baja Breeze ink, THEN with the Baja Breeze ink still on the initial S,I just colored over it with a Garden Green SU marker — quick, easy, no fuss and it worked like a charm!!! I got a 2-colored monogram with the least amount of effort – my kind of stamping!!! I then added some rhinestones to my monograms and mounted them with Dimensionals. OH, they were all cut, matted, framed and embossed with Petite Circle Nestabilities by Spellbinders — gosh, what did we all do before we got our Nesties!!!
If you need some gifts foryour crafty friends, consider a set from JustRite!!! The simple monogram starter kits are a GREAT first introduction to the JustRite products. Just click that link to see them. Everyone just LOVES a monogrammed project, and they are SO easy to use. They come complete with the wooden stamper, borders and alphabets!!! You can’t beat it for a WOW gift at a reasonable price!!! Editing to Add: I just noticed that the Damask Kit, in the older packaging (which is exactly what I used here), is ON SALE for $12.00 — just passing that on — GREAT PRICE!!!
And that wraps it up for another day!!!! Make sure you check out all the samples and entries for Deb’s challenge, linked above. There are sure to be a lot of great things to see and inspire!!! And THANK YOU so much for stopping in again!!! I SO appreciate all your visits. THANK YOU and hope you have a great day!!! Oh, our little bunch of local stamping friends is having our Christmas Party tonight — FUN!!! I’m bringing Chicken Wings — and they are GOOD!!! I did share the receipe here last year, but maybe I will again in the next day or two!!! Have a great day everyone!!!
Our Blog Candy winner is Debbie, and here’s what she had to say:

Your note cards are beautiful. My quick meal is spaghetti and meatballs. I use a prepared sauce, frozen meatballs, and I add some spices for added flavor. Thank you for the chance to win. The JustRite stamps are on my wish list.
Happy Holidays!

Ooooh…I’ll dream of winning this! When we need a quick meal, I throw together a yummy taco salad. I put corn chips, refries, and cheese together and usually heat them up a tiny bit (but not always), throw in lettuce, tomatoes, olives, onions, and serve with salsa and sour cream. It’s one of our go to favorites!
We like to fix cheese fondue to serve with crusty French bread cubes and crisp vegetables. Along with a salad which we have waiting in the fridge and Christmas cookies, it makes a relatively quick and easy meal to eat after our Christmas Eve church service.
OMGosh Sharon, these are Beautiful!!! Those rounded corners make these look so elegant. Love these Monograms….that is just the reason that I need to try JustRite Stamps!
My Quick and Easy meal would be to run by the grocery store and pickup a couple of pounds of steamed shrimp…that’s always a special treat on Christmas Eve, just add a couple of sides, and it’s perfect!
P.S. I’d love to have your wing recipe……..Have fun tonight!
Quick meals for me include making a big pot of vegetable soup on a lazy Sunday. Freeze it in one night serving sizes.
When ready to eat it, dump into a pot and heat. Throw a box of quick cornbread mix in the oven and enjoy!
First of All…i love your blog…I have created few of your projects and my latest is your Accordion Tag which I’m making few of them to give to my upline and my fellow stampin up demonstrators.
Well, we usually celebrate christmas on christmas eve….we have feast at midnight and we usually open our gifts early christmas day. My family love my “lasagna” like you….its a tradition…big turkey, salad, banana bread (one of the favorites as well) then we finish it off with red wine (few bottles of it too)…hahahaha…
Merry Christmas!
Elisa
Well, I, um, hate to admit it, but, uh, when we need a quick meal, we, erm, tend to get in the car and, well, we just kind of go to Waffle House…breakfast for dinner!! It’s great!
Wonderful, elegant batch of cards! Quick meal would probably be stopping to pick up something either ready to eat or eating out. I do like to have hamburger soup when I am at home and able to fix a quick meal. Great suggestions!
Such beautiful cards!
A quick meal for me is Marie Callenders chicken pot pies and a salad.
Hugs,
Colleen
My family likes me to buy Pillsbury biscuit dough in the cans, Peporoni, cheese and pizza sauce. I make nmini pizza’s with the biscuits and they love it! Quick and easy!
My quick meal is truly embarrassing–Ramen noodles with broccoli. My kids love it, and my dh doesn’t even mind it.
With a toddler, I often need quick meals. So I am quite practiced at this one! This time of year I rely on soup and toasted cheese sandwiches. They are quick, warm and filling! Thanks for a chance to win!
My quick meal is a either a rotisserie chicken from the store with a salad, or something in the crock pot, like a pork shoulder, shredded and mixed with bar b q sauce. Mmmmmm good!
I love to make a Chicken Brocolli Quiche (recipe from Bisquick) and serve with a tossed salad. I love your cards the papers are so pretty and the addition of the crystals makes them so elegant, the box is gorgeous with the pretty satin ribbon. TFS Ann Lind
First of all, I love your blog, and all of your creations, they are such an inspiration. Thanks for the opportunity to win some blog candy!
To answer to your question, usually I put bunch of stuff in the crock pot in the morning, if I have long day ahead, it takes 15min, and when we get home it’s all ready to eat and warm. If I don’t have time to do that, we have some Smart Ones quesadillas from the freezer (we are always well stocked on those)
First, I love the art you’ve posted. Your blog is just wonderful. For a quick meal, I turn to beef stroganauf. The whole family loves it and it’s super easy. Thanks for the chance to win.
Our Saturday night quick meal in the winter consists of popcorn, apples (and sometimes caramel to dip them in) and hot chocolate. We usually eat our mid-day meal late on Saturday and this perfect for evening.
For a quick meal I have leftovers that I have conveniently stored in the freezer in single meals for the microwave. It can be most anything I have made in the last couple of weeks.
I want to make some monogrammed notecards for gifts this year, better get in gear. I love JUst Rite stamps and have been wanting some for awhile now.
I am really busy this time of year, so soup in a crockpot and a salad and bread is a yummy and quick meal for us.
thanks for sharing

Sharon, as always, your projects turned out beautifully!
My family loves a quick Sloppy Joe dinner. Fast, easy and something that ALL my kids love. I like your Chirstmas Eve dinner idea too. We love our frozen lasagna dinners.
I am really hoping to either win one of the harmony rectangle stampers or I’ll just have to break down and buy it myself. LOL! I love it! Thanks for the chance to win one! 🙂
A quick easy meal is popcorn chicken and tater tots. The other meal is quick is tacos. Beautiful card set.
On really busy days, dinner usually consists of a pizza or something simple like pancakes. We often will have breakfast foods for dinner when we are really busy! I love the cards you made…wonderful!
Oh my goodness, since becoming pregnant again it seems like fast easy meals are all I make. I make frozen lasagna, frozen pasta, pizza, mac and cheese, hot dogs, quesadillas, and all sorts of bad for you stuff.
When I am running short on time, I will either order something, or just throw together something quick, simple, yet nutriouis, like soup, sandwiches and a salad. Other times, I may just throw a Digornio pizza in the oven, they are really yummy!!
For me, and quick meal always involved my crock pot and it’s usually chili. Although, lasagna is a hit in my house as well, especially with those crescent rolls you get in the refrigerator section!
Our quick meal is always frozen pizza cooked in the pizza oven.
Your cards are lovely; this stamp set is so elegant.
Thanks for the chance to win!
Here a big pot of Chili is made. Goes great with shredded cheese and sour cream on top. Love the cards and absolutely love the Stamp Simple Candy!!
Well I was drooling over the lovely cards –those are really spectacular — and then reading the meal ideas made me hungry! Your blog candy is terrific. Our quick meal is usually something pasta with Trader Joes meatballs. And our Costco has delicious chicken enchiladas in their ready to cook section!
Helen
Crockpot ribs. Tastes like they took forever, but they’re sooooooo easy it’s ridiculous.
Ribs
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
5 WHOLE jalapenos (DO NOT CUT!)
Add all ingredients to slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
When I’m pressed for time I usually make quesadillas and add whatever I can find on the top with cheese -broil and they’re done. We always have salsa and a few frozen/quickly thawed chicken strips works great. Lettuce, tomato, sour cream if available and dinner is ready in less than 10 minutes. I love your blog and all your cards. This set is great! Thanks
Sharon, Thanks so much for sharing the incredibly beautiful cards and what perfect timing! I’m hunkering down this Friday to make notecard sets, so consider these cards CASED! And what a great idea about the lasagne on Christmas Eve. Does going through the drive thru at MacDonalds count as a quick meal? I’m just kidding…I’d be at Subway.
Quick meals – maybe not real quick, but early in the day fix in crock pots. On Christmas Eve we go to church and come home to chili, and at least 2 other types of soup. We usually have banana nut bread or some other quick bread to go with it. Warm and comforting before Christmas Eve celebrations!
A single monogram never looked so good! JustRite is definitely on my wish list again…and here I thought I got all that I wanted during the Black Friday sales~! LOL I’d love to win this pretty font…it’s very feminine looking and I’ll even try to make cards as pretty as yours! We end up getting fried chicken for our quick meal (and have it just once or twice a year…during a busy winter season evening, and once in the summer…that’s about all the grease we can handle!)
I’m embarassed to admit it, but I usually send hubby out for a pizza! I figure that if I have to spend Christmas day cooking a big lunch then I deserve the night off before it!
What a beautiful card set! My quick and easy meal is usually a one-dish stir fry over minute brown rice. Just a quick chop of whatever vegetables are in the fridge, toss with chicken strips or shrimp and some bottled marinade or stir fry sauce!
I love your cards! Such wonderful colors and simply elegant designs — I so would love the Just Rite special occassions font and rectangle stampers, too. Ooooh, I can hope…
For quick meals, we generally make a LARGE meal once in awhile and freeze a ton of leftovers — (for example, 11 leftover meals from the 30 lbs of turkey from Thanksgiving)… and then the hectic weeknights are easy “pull something from the freezer” nights 🙂 But other than that, it’s chicken curry in the crockpot… which is even better the next few nights, over rice or noodles…
Beautiful colours on that notecard set! I love the sparkle from the rhinestones.
Our easy dinners are either grilled cheese and soup. Perfect for a chilly night!
For a quick meal, it’s usually instant noodles or fries and hot dogs 😛
Beautiful cards!
Quick meals are usually spaghetti or pizza (frozen or takeout). There are a lot of quick meals this time of year.
For a quick meal we usually make up a big pot of spaghetti , only takes about 30 minutes , or we run down to Papa Murphy’s and pick up a take-n-bake pizza . Your project looks fabulous ! Have a great day !
I love cooking but in this period I am so busy. My quick meal is chicken breast and salad.
Lovely cards Sharon!
Stunning cards Sharon! For quick meals on wintery nights, I like to cook breakfast for dinner. Some bacon or an omelette with all the fixings is super quick and always a winner in our household.
My quick meal is chicken tenders and fries in the oven, and a package of peppered gravy mix to fix in less than 3 minutes. I keep various dipping sauces on hand for the chicken–25 minutes tops for this meal. Taste just like Dairy Queens–LOL.
Your note cards are beautiful and so elegnant looking. I just rec’d my first Just Rite product, the basic Harmony set–so would love to win some more of their products. Thanks for the chance. Darlene
In October, I freeze several batches of homemade soup so all I have to do is break it up, put it in a pot and reheat. My favorites are Chicken Tortilla and Italian Sausage Tortillini. Add some bread and nothing is better on a cold winter evening.
A quick meal one made by anyone but myself, otherwise breakfast is always easy and quick for me to make and bacon and eggs are good 24hrs a day.
gorgeous cards! love that dp!!
we love take out pizza for a quick and easy meal. there’s a place close by that you can get $5.00 large pizza’s and they are even good 🙂
My husband cooks a couple steaks, I bake a potato in the mickie and do a simple green salad. Thanks for the inspiration for the monogram cards – I was needing to make a set.
I love the cards. I am making gift sets for my mother and mother-in-law and you have some great ideas! For a quick meal on Christmas Eve, I use to have items to make subs. It was fast and each person could make their favorites. I didn’t have to cook and could spend more time with my family which was wonderful! Would love to win one of these. I have wanted one since I saw it in a local scrapbook store.
We have ham, cheese, a variety of cold cuts, shrmip, and of course all the cookies we made.
Thanks for a chance to win!!!
I just love your site..
Your cards are gorgeous!!!
A quick meal around is here is always spaghetti!!
Love your note cards. Those colors really look pretty together.
My quick and easy meal is a rotisserie chicken from Publix with a couple of containers of salad (potato or macaroni and cole slaw).
We love homemade soup at our house, so when I make it, I make sure to have plenty that I can freeze ahead for use on nights like Christmas Eve, when you just don’t have time to cook! There’s nothing like hot soup with crusty bread to warm you right up. Thanks for the chance to win such a wonderful prize, Sharon!
I so need those Harmony Rectangle stampers! Love your note cards but they won’t work for me as I need an “A” not an “S” on the cards 😉 Your creations always dazzle, Sharon.
As for a quick meal… we just had it last night.. Pancakes! I fall back on them alot for dinner or sometimes it will be waffles just to change it around a bit.
This these cards are positively gorgeous! I can’t wait to get back from Chicago and play with all my new JustRite goodies. I’m going to start to work on my Christmas cards, I know, I know, a little late! Buy hey, better late than never right!
Beautiful note card! Love the blue and green combo.
A quick meal around my house is usually eggs or spaghetti. I like really like eggs for my evening meal–usually served with precooked bacon or hashbrowns.
My quick meal or maybe one of them would be, get some stouffers lasagna at the store, boil some corn and add the mash potaotos and your done, the kids love it and it looks as if you been cooking all day. Im gonna keep my fingers crossed oh my what an awesome candy to win
Great minds think alike–we have been enjoying Stouffer’s lasagna on Christmas Eve for years. There is never enough time before church to fix a big meal and besides, with quick meals, I have more time to stamp!
I LOVE THE BOX AND CARDS!!!
My quick meal is baked pasta with meatballs. My hubby LOVES it and it’s so quick and easy! It also refrigerates well fore leftovers!
Thanks for the chance to win!
A Quick meal for my family would be something picked up on the way home from work!
Your cards are beautiful! Thanks for the chance to win!
A quick meal around our house is grilled cheese with tomato soup! Loved the note cards you made today. You’re right – those are great colors!!!
Love the cards & the just rite sets to make great projects!.One of my quick & healthy meals is lightly breaded tilapia fish filets (from Sam’s Club) with asalad & a Side Kicks side dish.
Quick meal? Stop and pick up pizza on the way home from work. The kids are all grown, so it’s just me and DH. This makes it a lot easier.
We eat breakfast for dinner when we are busy. Pop the bacon in the oven and make some scrambled eggs. Sometime we just have egg sandwiches.
I love to put something in the crockpot and forget about it! Anything from soup to beans to a roast. Smells yummy all day long, and I LOVE the fact that all we do is pull it out of the crockpot and eat!
Happy Holidays!
Connie K.
I’m all about quick meals! My kids favorite is my modified version of a Monte Christo sandwich – use raspberry jam on both slices of bread, add turkey, ham, swiss cheese and then grill like a grilled cheese. I usually serve frozen grapes with this. Great quick meal. Thanks for another chance to win fabulous prizes!
Beautiful cards, Sharon! Love the colors!
My quick and easy meal is to stop by the store and pick up a roasted chicken from the deli and steam a bag of frozen veggies in the microwave! This is a once a week meal for us!
A quick meal my family loves is nachos … just cook meat with lots of taco seasoning, drain, add a bit of Catalina (lite or free dressing), then layer Nacho cheese-flavored doritos, meat, taco-seasoned shredded cheese and your fav salsa and broil it ’til the cheese melts a bit – voila! Easy peasy!
Love the notecards – TFS, and thanx for another great celebration!
Sharon,
Lasagna is our traditional Christmas eve meal as well, however, I make it homemade a day or two in advance, before church, I set oven to time bake, pop in the lasagna. Served with Greek salad and homemade bread….yummy.
Off to wrap presents for the grandbabies!
I only have one Just Rite set (little monogram) and the Christmas one on it’s way that has “fudge” in it, so would love to win this!
I always keep “pizza” stuff on hand. We have homemade pizza sauce canned, so there is always Canadian bacon and pepperoni in the freezer ready to be thawed and to make the pizza “quick” we use flavored tortilla shells (like for wraps-our favorite is dried tomato), spread on some pizza sauce, add meat and cheese, bake in the oven at 425* for 5 minutes and add a simple lettuce salad or raw veggies on the side. Doesn’t get any easier. Ãœ
My “easy” meal is something in the crockpot, but when I am really pushed calling for pizza delivery is always best.
a quick meal would be chili (taco soup). we put in sour cream, shredded cheese, and fritos. it’s really good!! love your blog. thanks for sharing.
Oh my gosh – I would love to win this!!! Whenever I plan an “easy” meal, I think of Chili. You can cook it ahead of time and just reheat when you need a quick meal. Chili in the winter time…that’s the best!!!
Several ideas for quick meals…if you have little ones…personalized pizzas from english muffins, they pick their own toppings. Our traditional Christmas Eve meal is Tuna Fish Spaghetti (ok, don’t gag, you don’t really TASTE the tuna fish…it’s just in the sauce…LOL…we have to follow meatless Friday ya know)…however now that I’m older I just omit the Tuna Fish and go for plain spaghetti sauce…it’s quick, it’s easy, it’s filling and know one is hungry for awhile. How about a cold meat buffet? And of course your crock pot can be your best friend too! Ok, those are all my suggestions, thank you for the chance for winning! I just love love love your blog!
Hi Sharon! Your set of notecards is so beautiful! MY SIL just asked me for some monogrammed notecards and these will be just perfect for her! Thanks so much for the inspiration! Thanks for the chance to win the blog candy, too! For a quick meal when things are very busy, I will usually make spaghetti and meatballs and have it with a salad and some bread. Embarassingly simple, but I do make the meatballs from scratch. Still quick and easy. If I need even quicker than that, I throw in some frozen pizzas (we like the California Pizza Kitchen ones)!
Our quick meal year-round is a frozen pizza. I know, yucky — but we really like the Tombstone pepperoni pizzas, so it works for us. Love JustRite products and, as you say, the ability to interchange the pieces with each other. One of my favorite two color stamping ways is just what you did on this monogram, too. Learning to do that was a huge aha! moment for me! Thanks for the chance to win!!
Hi Sharon. As always, love those cards..and the colors are perfect. Would love to win to make some gifts of my own!!! Our quick and easy meal is always Campbell’s soup, either tomato or vegetable vegetarian and grilled cheese. Easy and good! Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy.
Our quick meal- crock pot chili. I cook the hamburger in the morning and throw all the ingredients in the crock pot -let it cook all day. It’s ready when ever you are!
These cards are so pretty, they look like you spent a lot of time on each one. Would make a wonderful gift…mmm maybe I can fit in one more home made gift to make.
My quick meal is ground beef browned and drained and a can of Manwich Sloppy Joe Mix. I haven’t found any recipes to match it and it is super quick hot food that everybody in the family likes. A dill pickle and potatoe chips served on the side.
Thanks for the opportunity to win the blog candy! This would be an incredible Christmas gift to ME!
Gorgeous cards, as always!! My quick meal is a shrimp, spinach, cream cheese with chives and rice mixture, it is so yummy and you can sub. chicken if you want. It looks like you spent hours making it and its fast! It’s now become my new Christmas Eve meal, I just make it in my electric skillet. I used to make a complete Christmas Eve meal from a magazine, usually Southern Lady, one year I did, and we ended up having unexpected guests, and they were impressed, but I spent hours cooking and baking it, never again! It was fun though!
Lovin your celebration! Your cards are just stunning and love the colors.
I would love to be the lucky winner to win this sweet candy. My quick meal would be chili or stew with rolls. Thanks so much for a chance.
I keep pre-made pizza shells on hand. Just add sauce, cheese and toppings and bake.
I usually serve with salad mix and add a few ingredients there too.
Teresa
Hi Sharon: I have a quick & easy chicken spaghetti recipe that we love. I use canned chicken and that takes out the most time consuming thing out of the recipe. Throw in some Sister Shubert rolls and a bagged salad and we are done! I just received the JustRite damask borders and the trompe’ script and I have a stash of that paper so I am CASEing! Thanks!
Chili and cornbread. It’s quick (providing the meat is thawed out!) and on a cold night it is the best!
What a beautiful set of cards! Love them!
As for Christmas Eve dinner, last year my hubby and I made a dinner with cornish game hens and had a couple of friends over, then we took a ride in my convertible to look at Christmas lights…sorta like a sleigh ride in FL. lol
The quickest meals are the ones my husband makes! 😉 Seriously – he used to be a chef and I’m not much of a cook. I can follow a recipe but other than simple things I find it hard to just throw things together. He makes it look so effortless! MY idea of quick is takeout!
I like to cook something like a pork loin earlier in the week…that way we can eat on it for several days….I love the Holidays!
Love your cards and the matching box!
When we need a quick meal, we usually make spaghetti or soft tacos/taco salad.
Our busy day is Christmas Eve trying to get to service on time. For years we had a Happy Birthday Jesus party at my in-laws and opened presents. My MIL used to cook a dinner. When they couldn’t do that anymore we bought pizza and took it over. Now that they are no longer around it is just my family at our house so we have continued the tradition of pizza plus a birthday cake and we wait til after service to open presents.
One of my quick meals of choice is a Build-your-own Taco Bar. Cook Boneless Chicken Breast in Salsa in a Crockpot a day or two before. Cool it; then shred it. The day of the meal, simply heat the Shredded Chicken with some taco seasoning added to it (can be done in the Crockpot again or other conventional way). Prepare bowls of shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, etc. Voila! A deliciuous and simple meal!!!
Our quick meal is usually white chicken chili or Pasta Fagioli soup. Whenever I make a big batch of either of these, I always freeze some just for those times we need something warm, comforting, and fast!
Beautiful monogram cards! And great blog candy, too!
Some quick meals I often turn to this time of year are soups made in the slow cooker, rotisserie chicken, single serving frozen lasagna (Amy’s vegetarian is a quite tasty!), and leftovers. Meatloaf is a favorite here and it usually provides the two of us at least three meals. All these easy preparations leave more time for me to stamp!
OH that it actually something I made yesterday! The kids LOVE it and shhh I do too! I make mac &Cheese w/Chicken and peas.. YYYUUMMMOO.. it is the quickest and yummy meal ever! and it always makes us smile!
Beautiful cards, for a quick meal I usually serve skillet chicken and rice. It uses campbells soup, chicken tenders and rice and cooks up very fast and easy for nights that we have to run!
Thanks for the great chance to win the blog candy!!!
Love your Special Occasion Font set, here is what I prepare, an easy casserole, brown hamburger and onions, drain, add one can of mushroom soup and 1 can of drained cut green beans. Add onion and garlic and salt and pepper, heat this mixture together. Make a bowl of instant mash potatoes and add an egg to this. Put meat, soup, bean mixture into a greased casserole dish. Top with the potato and egg mixture and top with grated cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 15 to 20 minutes until nice and warm and cheese melts. Happy Holidays, love your cards.
I never win, but I’ll keep trying! Quick meal? Breakfast! I love eggs and sometimes have pancakes or French Toast too! These other ideas are making me really hungry, though! YUM!
What beautiful projects today! For a quick meal we pop a Delissio pizza in the oven and prep a side salad while its cooking. Not too glamorous, but it’s fast! Thank you for the chance to win the amazing blog candy!
I tend to have packages of appetizers in the freezer (phyllo & spinach, etc) that I can just pop in the oven to serve for something quick.
Thanks for hosting these festivities & chances to win!
Thank you so much Sharon for all the fun challenges and lots of blog candies! Your gift set is so beautiful! I really love that monogram kit!
Our quick dish is frozen pizza! Easy and not too bad!
We actually have Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve before Church. This lets us have a wonderful Christmas Day without me in the kitchen! For fast and simple meals I make Chicken tacos. Cut up chicken or buy the pre cut, fry it up add Chicken Fahita mix and put on top of Taco chips, cover with Cheddar and either Mozerella of another chesse, stick under the broiler and chow down. I try to keep some pre made chicken in the freezer so it is really quick.
Happy Holidays
Heather
Chicken pot pie with a cheesy topping is one of my favourites. Quick to put together but tasty too. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy. Love your creations….keep up the good work and thanks for sharing too. Lilian
Love your blog and thanks for the opportunity to win some great blog candy.
I have a couple of fav quick meals which seems to be all I do lately. Chicken stir fry with peppers, garlic, onions and leftover rice. Spaghetti with a quick sauce of tomatoes, onions and garlic. Love quesadillas. If I’m really pressed for time or just don’t feel like cooking at all I’ll throw in a frozen pizza. Today is a day off so I’m making an extra large lasagna and I’ll freeze part of it in small portions for quick days.
I love your blog and all your creations thanks for always sharing with us
Quick meal would be a oven done french toast made the night before and popped in the oven easy and great
Hugs
Norine
I *love* these cards–that color scheme ROCKS!!! I have the perfect quick meal. It’s a crock potter meal! It’s a chili recipe that I found online that I altered just a bit. Ready? Spray crock pot with cooking spray, add browned ground turkey (low in saturated fat), one can of reduced sodium tomato soup, one can of black beans, one can of kidney beans, one can of rotel, 2 Tb chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 chopped onion, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 6. It’s yummy. I don’t think beans should be in chili (as any good Texan knows), but this isn’t your standard chili. 😉
It seems I live on quick meals recently since my DH and I are so busy with volunteer commitments. I like the nice and easy soup and salad. Or lasagna in the oven with garlic bread, one of my favourites is from M&M meats. Or a slow cooker recipe that does the work while I am busy doing other things.
Oh, I love your notecard set! Yes, I do love last year’s colors too. I usually do tacos for a quick meal. I pre-brown the beef, so all I have to do is heat it up with the seasoning, add pre-cut veg’s and shredded cheese, and serve! Jeannie
I always have two or three soups in the freezer for this time of year that can just be reheated and served. Maybe some chili with a grilled cheese sandwich and a salad. I also rely on my crockpot a lot since I work.
Love the cards and the blog candy. Now as for a quick meal…it would be to either order pizza or through on some sauce, frozen meatballs and pasta. It’s pretty quick and something eveybody in my house will all eat,so I am not being a short order cook that night..LOL!
Gail 🙂
Sharon…love these cards. Just gorgeous. We, like you, usually do Church on Christmas Eve, so are planning on something easy for dinner like Chili or maybe I will make a casserole.
Gorgeous cards…I never would’ve thought of that color combination, but now must try it!!
We have several quick meal ideas…frozen pizza or lasagna, sloppy joes, cut up hot dogs mixed with baked beans, or something in the crockpot. If I don’t have time to make a salad, I’ll just open a can of green beans and pop them in the microwave. But…my favorite quick meal idea is opening my take-out menu folder, making my selection, then handing DH the phone and keys!! 🙂
A quick meal for me is Spaghetti. Well, I guess I have spoiled my hubby and it won’t cut it if there is not lots of meat in it either :D. Ground beef (or turkey), turkey Kielbasa, peppers, lots of onions, peppers and the usual tomato paste and sauce. Spaghetti noodles off course, salad and garlic-cheese bread. The entire family loves it and my favorite part is, that I usually still have enough leftover for the kiddos the next day ;).
Sharon, your cards are wonderful and I love the bling on them, but you know already that I always love your creations.
Hugs, Sabrina
The favorite meal for all of my boys is actually the quickest! It is homemade mac n’ cheese and you make the sauce in the microwave, but cook the macaroni conventionally. Start to finish it is about 9 minutes! Even quicker than a run up to McDonalds!
I love this site! Thanks for all that you do because you inspire everyone!!
Those cards are beautiful! I love that color combo too.
Our favorite quick meal is to order pizza. It kind of became a Christmas Eve tradition while everyone was trying to get ready for church.
I really love your cards they’re so elegant and soft look.
I always have in the freezer complete meals that I’ve cooked before. So hop in the oven and voilà a complete delicious meal in a snap!
Thanks for a chance to win this great blog candy!
wow, beautiful cards. I have two quickie meals. one is quesadillas, my girls love them with some pico de gallo o pasta, while the water is boiling i make a cheese sauce or white creamy one, my kids favorites. thanks for the chance to win.
Love the cards, always do of course….and the monogram – hope it was just chosen for me…(LOL). Thanks again…beautiful colour combination.
I make a really quick chicken pot pie – canned chicken breast from Sam’s, cream of chicken soup, and Veg-All all mixed together and put between Pillsbury roll out pie crusts. Just put it in the oven and bake – super easy and such comfort food when super busy!
I usually get the fixing for really good sandwiches. Meats, cheese, etc…
and I’d love to win this set. Thanks for the chance…
What a a great gift card set! Just what I need to finish off my gifts to family this year. Our quick meal is a taco salad. Brown the ground beef and onions, add some fajita seasoning, pour in a can of diced tomatoes, a cup of cooked rice (I use minute rice), some chopped up black olives and then I add about a half cup of Catalina dressing – no idea why the author of this recipe used it but it is so good. This takes about 20 minutes and then we put the mixture over a bed of lettuce, add a sprinkle of shredded cheese and some ranch dressing.
Absolutely love your blog! I look forward to your updates eagerly each day! Your mono cards are beautiful! For a quick meal, I usually pull out a frozen entree’ from Super Suppers. It is a “make & take” place where you put together meals and freeze for another day. I however, buy from their frozen section (lazy) and pull from the freezer when I need it. Thanks for doing what you do so well!
Beautiful set of cards-great inspiration from the blogs for this project. tfs
I like to keep a pot of chili or veggie beef soup on hand. I make a large batch and it tastes better after reheating a few times. In the past we always had pizza for Christmas Eve but think I will try your lasagna idea this year. tfs ideas and projects-much appreciated.
Love the cards, always do of course….and the monogram – hope it was just chosen for me…(LOL). Thanks again…beautiful colour combination.
I make a light meal probably grilled meat and a salad….and I will do this while listening on BBC Radio 4 to Carols from Kings College Chapel, Cambridge….this is when Christmas truly starts for me…it is just so moving hearing that choirboy start the service…listen to it and you will agree with me. It will be a morning service for you as it starts at 3.00 p.m. GMT and is listened to by ex-pats over the world.
My super quick meal this time of year is meatballs! I try to keep a box of the big frozen kind in the freezer and mix them with my homemade frozen pasta sauce- over spaghetti and YUM! Fast and fabulous! Add some garlic bread and you have a meal. Beautiful cards- I love the Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi combo!

Sharon, our family has Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, and have leftovers on Christmas day! So, I am cooking all day long, but I can rest the next day. I have never used the Just Rite stamps, so I would love to try them.
Pinky
My quick meal for Christmas Eve is Tourtiere ( French for meat pie) and baked potatoes. Both are done in the oven and all you need is a veggie or a salad. Yummy and it is a Christmas tradition at our place. Have a great day, Hugs n’ Stuff, Lynne
I love your set of monogrammed cards. So elegant. One of my favorite quick meals is White Bean Chicken Chili. I use canned chicken which makes it quicker. Another one is rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes from the grocery store. Add some type of vegetable or salad and you are all set.
Well, those cards are just perfect, it’s like you made them just for me! LOL Well, quick meal would be soup and cornbread. They have some wonderful packets at the grocery store for soup where all you add is water, and it makes a big pot of soup.
Your cards are so very pretty, and I love the colors!!
My quickest meal is to make wraps and my DH loves them! I just use whatever I have in the fridge; leftover roast beef, chicken, or turkey, bacon, cheese, sliced peppers, onions, tomato, lettuce, etc. Quick, easy, and uses up those little bits of leftovers!
TFS in celebration of your fabulous blog. I can’t get through a day without visiting!
Your gift set is gorgeous!
Great blog candy today! How fun this is~
A quick meal for us is grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup (Campbells) It’s very comforting.
thanks for this chance to win.
Jennifer L
I usually turn to chili. It can be thrown in the cooker early in the day and left to cook all day to perfection! I think your project is beautiful. I particularly like the wide white satin ribbon on the box. Very nice!
Wow, Sharon, these are just so gorgeous!! I am amazed at all of the wonderful things you do!
For our quick meal, we like to have “Finger Foods” – Christmas Eve is also hectic for us and we have vegetable trays, dips, pretzel sticks, fancy crackers, cheese cubes, tortilla roll ups and BBQ smoky sausages in the crock pot! Almost all of that I can buy “pre-made” or ready!
We also like the Stouffer’s lasagna and chicken enchiladas! A quick meal, and an oven timer and we are good to go!
Lovely cards they inspire me to make a set for my sister as a gift. We too have a lasagne meal for Christmas eve, however I recently found an easy recipe on the Barrilla site and use that recipe but make it a week ahead and freeze it and then pull it out on Christmas eve. It too inlcudes sausage.
Beautiful cards! Love the monogram. Spaghetti is our go to on Xmas eve, very easy and everyone loves it.
I make grilled cheese & tomato soup for our quick meal. It’s easy clean up and not a long preparation time.
I love your samples all the time, but the Just Rite projects are always over the top, Sharon.
On a busy night I tend to throw some shredded steak flauta’s in the oven…I get them at Costco…and make some spanish rice to go with. My husband loves Mexican food…so it’s fast, easy and makes him happy 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win.
Charmaine
Hi, I love to make lasagna when I’m not busy and put in the freezer and pull it out for the busy days. Planning ahead and making meals to put in the freezer helps alot. I also make meals in my slow cooker when we are busy. Have a wonderful holiday season.
Hi! Thank you for offering a chance to win JustRite…I love their products!
My idea of a quick meal is any kind of pasta…you can do just about anything with it and it’s good and satisfying. I like your Lasagna idea too. Have you tried their vegetarian? YUM!
a quick meal for us is one of those Banquet Homestyle Meals that you bake for 30 minutes. They’re pretty good! and quick. Just add a veg to the side and some bread and eat till you’re full!
thanks,
Angie
My quick Christmas Eve dinner is simple: I clean out the fridge (to make room for all the leftover Christmas Day food) and I make a big pot of soup. Quick store garlic bread and dinner is served! It stays in the pot all day and they eat when they want to! I love the cards but I have never seen anything made with a JustRite product that I didn’t love! Happy Christmas to all my fellow Blog Stalkers!!
Before the holidays I make a huge batch of meatballs (about 4x or 5x the recipe). I then freeze them in baggies. (enough for 1 meal). All I have to do is take them out of the freezer and either put barbecue sauce, spaghetti sacue or gravy over them and pop them in the oven. Then I usually make minute rice or spaghetti noodles (depending on what I put on the meatballs). I have a delicious home made meal in under 5 minutes of prep time. Yeah.
I have been eyeing those rectangular blocks and would love to win them.
Julie

They Are beautiful!!! Those approximated corners force them to look so graceful. Love these Monograms
When we demand a fast food, I throw together cheese, olives, tomatoes, sweet pepper. To it probably to add an olive oil. We love this salad
We have two quick meal stand bys! The first is my chili. I can whip it up in half an hour and it’s ready to go.. or I can put it in the crock pot and it’s ready whenever we are. Some crusty bread to go with and it’s instant happiness. I also have to make rice. I don’t know why my Connecticut DH likes rice with chili but he does.
The second… Pizza! Frozen or delivered.. it’s always a crowd pleaser! So see… no need to fret. You at least serve salad with yours!
Tee
Love the cards! Our quick meal this time of year is usually a hot and ready $5 take out pizza along with a side salad.
Sharon, As usual – this gift set is beautiful! My quick meals are usuallly a stir fry of some sort. I always have boneless skinless chicken breast on hand and add what ever veggies I have available, served over rice. Quick, easy and nutritiouus, as well.
Barb E.
Eggs!!! with bacon or toast or omlet – they are easy, fast, and nutritious! What more could you ask for ,,,,,,,,AND not too many dishes to clean. We eat breakfast for dinner once a week ’cause I hate to cook!
I would Love, Love, Love to win this. Thanks for the chance to win.
Dorothy A.
I love your website and check it everyday. Your creations are wonderful. My quick meal at this busy time of year is taking a rump roast and putting it in the slow cooker with a bottle of barbeque sauce, letting it cook all day. We then have sloppy joe sandwiches, dips, cheese ball, some shrimp, and Christmas cookies, I get at an exchange. My hands are basically free all day to tidy up the house, wrap last minute gifts, etc. After an early dinner we attend Christmas Eve services. Here’s wishing everyone a wondrous Holiday Season.
You are so generous and so are the StampRite people.
As for when I’m really busy and the fact that I’m single really helps with this fact I usually just hit a drive thru. However when I have people over it’s usually pizza.
My crock pot goes full force during December. Once the contents get low enough to put into a storage container something new goes into it: stews, chili, soups, etc. I keep bags of salad and cans of biscuits in the frig and there you have it. Something else that would simplify my life — winning these wonderful Just Rite Stampers. Thanks for the chance.
My quickest meal: would be chicken. Yeah…does not sound like it, but it is. I get the bags of frozen chicken strips. While letting that “cook”, I warm tortillas, pull out the ranch dressing, a bag of salad, and Wah-lah! Call the family to supper. In 15 minutes we are sitting around the table eating. And it is nice, if someone eats it later or if they are in a major rush. My oldest has taken this to go. Not bad.
Usually I make a big pot of spaghetti sauce and then freeze it in separate bags (each one has enough for one meal). When I’m in a rush, I take one out and we have spaghetti and some garlic bread.
Another quick meal is a variation of a Pampered Chef ring. It has chicken, broccoli and cheddar cheese.
I think that I may copy your idea and start keeping a frozen lasagna in the freezer, just in case!
Such pretty cards!!!! My quick go to meal is spaghetti and meatballs! I use the store bought meatballs simmer them in the sauce while pasta cooks, some breadsticks in the oven dinner in 30 minutes or less! To me this is easy because I cook EVERYTHING my husband can’t eat a lot of processed foods so the premade lasagna and skillet meals are not an option really!
Love your cards and box. They are beautiful, blue is my favorite color. We have appetizers on Christmas Eve. My family already celebrated our Christmas at Thanksgiving since my girls will be spending the holidays with their in-laws. They are home for Thanksgiving one year and then Christmas the next. Thank you for the opportunity to win blog candy.
my favorite quick meal involves frozen meatballs and either noodles or rice. Sometimes I mix the meatballs with a red sauce like ragu and some times it is with a white sauce and serve it over rice or noodles. Always salad and always bread. Easy peasy!
We do a big dinner on Christmas Eve with our kids and the grands, open gifts and then birthday cake for Jesus and off to late service. Christmas day is just hubby and me, so leftovers are fine. A quick meal for us is pasta and a bag of one of the different sauces I keep stored in the freezer. I make up the sauces during tomato harvest time and have them on hand for a quick fix meal. They also come in handy when extra company shows up.
Sharon, this gift set is beautiful. I love reading your blog. When I cook, many times I double a recipe and freeze half in Food Saver bags. This way I always have prepared dinners in the freezer that are easy to thaw and then heat. If I make something from scratch it is usually either enchilada pie, a pot of chili or spaghetti.
my dh found a recipe in his men’s health mag. it is healthy and quick. roll boneless thin chicken cutlets in italian breadcrumbs and parm cheese. pan fry in olive oil. when done, pour marinara sauce on top and add fresh spinach, cook til spinach is done. while that is cooking, boil up some whole wheat spagetti.
i usually skip the spinach and give it all to him, and i microwave some zucchini or squash in those cool new steamer bags. and it is usually done in about 25 min.
if your kids don’t like veggies, you still have chkn and spagetti.
hope this helps.
Your cards are beautiful! My quick meal is right along with yours…Michelina’s frozen lasagna. Takes a while to cook in the oven, but I can get lots done while it’s baking. Thanks for the chance to win!
Hmmm, that is a tough one, my meals are never quick. Spaghetti with some embellished ragu sauce is easy enough, though I ALWAYS prefer to cook when I can. 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win! I haven’t tried JustRite stamps yet but would love the opportunity, they seem to work well with punches.
Hope you are having a happy holiday season!
~Meredith
Your note cards are so lovely!! I like the Special Occasions Font that you used. It’s really so dressy looking and with the rhinestones around it, it’s elegant! After seeing your beautiful note cards, the Special Occasions Font is on my shopping list!
A quick meal for me has to be pizza (cooked by the pizza shop, lol)! It’s tasty and filling. I only need a couple of slices and I’m good to go:) Thanks for another chance to win blog candy. What a super celebration!!!
Wow – I love your cards – my JustRite monogrammes arrived yesterday and now I have some super examples to inspire me. For our fast and warming meal on Christmas Eve I always make a big pot of potato, broccolli and leek soup and lace it with lots of good English Stilton. Serve with warm ciabattia – yummy!
For a quick meal, you may find hotdogs on my dinner table. If it’s Christmas Eve, I may make lasagna a few days earlier and then it’s ready to go with a salad and bread or maybe a steak if I don’t have time to mak lasagna.
beautiful projects, and thanks for offering some great blog candy!
for our quick meal, it’s honey-baked ham, with a few side dishes!
A quick meal for us is a rotisserie chicken from the store, a salad and a bag of microwaved steamed veggies – 10 min flat after getting home from the store.
Christmas eve we like to do soups – frozen and then thrown in the crock pot that afternoon.
Congrats on your great blog!
I love the note card set’ so pretty!
Wouldn’t you know, my favorite (and weekly) quick meal recipe is Stouffer’s Lasagna! Honestly, I have 4 kids, and they love it. I bake it once a week on a day when I’m really busy, but it’s also what I serve when I have company come for dinner!
Our quick meal consists of homemade veggie soup that I’ve got tucked away in the freezer with a grilled cheese sandwich and a tall glass of sweet tea. I’m getting hungry….aren’t you?
Christmas Eve day I work with a basket program and we deliver gifts baskets & food to 27 needy families and food to 3 local food banks. My husband is at home with our little girl cooking our christmas eve dinner while i’m doing community service. then we share our christmas eve feast with our neighbors, friends & family. I’m a nurse so i usually work CHristmas Day so that i have off Christmas Eve for the basket program,
but it’s all good. it’s so nice to help out my community and have the time to spend with family, neighbors & friends!!!
But a quick meal for us is either nachos with the works or chicken breasts on the grill with veggies on the side!
Happy Holidays!
Thanks for such wonderful blog candy & congrats to you and all your beautiful artistic works of the heart!!!
becky
My family loves meatloaf-I buy the meat mixture (pork and ground chuck) then mix in the onion sage salt pepper egg and Italian bread crumbs and a bit of milk– I also have O brian Potatoes(our way is chunk up Idaho taters mix with onion garlic and olive oil and fy in a pan– ya ya ya I know not healthy but is fast and comforting LOL we top it off with cookie sheet apple pie with crumb crust….way to die for meal.
A quick meal for us would be ordering pizza, making hot dogs or grilled chicken with a side dish. One of our daughters has food allergies so meals usually consist of either making two versions of the meal or two totally separate meals. Your cards are absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the chance to win the blog candy.
During the week I usually cook a pot of chili for the cold days. Sharon, I have also have found that Stouffer’s Lasagna is a quick dinner for Christmas Eve.
As always, thank you for the inspiration. I need to put together some note cards for friends for the holidays, and yours are always so beautiful! Our quick meal is making a salad and putting some chicken tenders on the George Forman to put in the salad. Add some french bread and dinner is done.
Beautiful, beautiful cards. Quick meal, my husband throws together what he calls hunters stew. 1 can of sliced potatoes, 1 can of corn, 1 can of stewed tomatoes and 1 pound of hamburger. Season to taste. Quick and easy especially if you are out hunting. Cornbread is great with this dish.
Love your projects, love the lasagna idea and of course love the chance to win more blog candy.
On Christmas we do fondue a cheese, a beef broth to cook pieces of thinly sliced beef and of course a chocolate fondue for dessert this will be our second year doing this and it is easy and yummy. Christmas day I do a brunch and then later in the day we do BBQ sandwiches from our favorite place Honey Bears. I used to cook a big dinner but we are all usually full from brunch most of the day. This way if anyone gets hungry later in the day they can just fix themselves a sandwich which gives the chef (me..lol) a break and a chance to actually enjoy the day.
I hope no matter what you chose for your meal that you all have the very best holiday season.
Blessings
Debbie/Phx AZ
I’m glad to see you use the DP this way….I tend to hoard mine and then have TONS of the stuff that I never use….I think that I will put together some “quick” cards for the teacher’s this year!
Favorite quick meal? Homemade chili. My friend had the EASIEST recipe which she kindly gave me and with a side salad, some Krustez cornbread, easypeasy meal!!
Finely chop a med onion and saute (I admit, I usually skip this part because I’m too lazy!!)
1 large can pinto beans
1 large can kidney beans
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1/3 portion of Lawry’s chili seasoning
My own additions:
1 15 oz can of diced tomatoes: sometimes I use the zesty mild green chili ones or the basil/oregano ones
1 bag of Morningstarfarm Crumbles (could use regular beef too….again that laziness on my part, much easier to open a bag then cook the beef!! heehee!)
Heat everything and enjoy with your favorite toppings!!
I like almost anything in a crockpot at this time of year. You can just through something together and let it cook. A simple favorite is green beans on the bottom then chicken breasts and thighs topped with a cream soup (mushroom, chicken, celery or a combination). Turn on low in the morning and it’s done for dinner. Add some good bread and the meal is complete for me.
At this crazy, hectic time of year, I love bringing out my trusty old crockpot, and starting a chicken or beef stew. Not only is it easy, but it adds a delicious smell throughout the house all day long! It frees up my time so I can stamp!
Thanks for the blog candy opportunity!
Sharon! Your work in awesome! Thanks so much for sharing!!
For quick fix meals in our house we have three go-to favorites! The first is ‘breakfast for dinner’. With our hectic schedules we are never together for breakfast and do not take the time to actually cook so to cook breakfast at dinnertime is easy and a treat!
The second would be tacos or taco salads. We always seem to have the makings for these on hand and many times I will braise off extra ground beef and freeze it in portion size containers in the freezer so it’s easy to pull this out and add seasonings for dinner.
The third would be chicken salad. This can be easy-peasy by using canned chicken or take a little more time by buying a deli chicken and deboning it for a slightly fresher taste. Serve as a salad with crackers and apple and cheese slices or as a sandwich with a nice french bread or croussiant. Delicious and EASY!
Happy Holidays everyone!
Connie
Sharon, your note cards are gorgeous!
For a quick meal, I take a soup from the freezer and heat it up. Whenever I make a big pot of soup, I freeze portions so I have something handy when I don’t have a lot of time.
Thanks for offering this great candy.
My crockpot is my friend this time of year. Chili, tortilla soup, pot roast, you name it – if it can be slow cooked, it’s the perfect solution for a hectic night!
Great card set, Sharon! At any time of the year, if I need a quick meal, I just scramble some eggs. I’ll add some sausage or bacon if I have some on hand. What a nice font set, I can imagine many uses for it.
A crockpot soup, salad and warm bread is our go to meal during these hectic times. thanks for sharing

Wow! What a great project! A family favorite quick meal is spaghetti. Everyone loves it and it is quick and easy. Add your bread and salad and you’re ready to eat. Thanks for another generous blog candy opportunity!

When the kids were home, we would make a pot of stew. Quick, simple, easy!
Love your cards! Thanks for sharing with us!
During the busy time of year I like to make different things in the crockpot; favorites being chili & pork roast.
Beautiful samples Sharon! For quick meals during the holidays, we do soup & salad. Wolfgang Puck has a great Chicken Tortilla soup (in a can) that we really like.
On Christmas Eve we have Lasagna. Quick & yummy!
A quick meal for me is either a frozen pizza or baked chicken. The chicken is usually pieces that I bake with some season salt on top. Takes about 45 minutes and you are eating! Thanks for the blog candy.
Robbie
Beautiful cards…again*!*
For your quick meal, try personal pot pies (from your grocer’s freezer) over white rice….mmmmm SO good (quick and easy too.)! It’s a meal all by itself~but pairing it with fruit makes it tasty too.
Sharon those are gorgeous cards! The colors are so elegant.
For a quick meal I love to make tacos or a quick corn chowder.
Sharon I adore the cards you made for Deb’s Challenge – they’re wonderful. For a quick meal, my husband likes to 1) reheat leftovers, 2) Stouffer’s Lasagna, or 3) Linguini with meat sauce (that he makes in advance and keeps frozen in the right amount to feed a family of three). He adds a salad and broils some garlic toast. But number 3 doesn’t sound quick even to me. Oaky how about 4) a can of soup and grilled cheese sandwiches?
Wow! What gorgeous cards! They are so elegant. Thanks for the chance to win the awesome blog candy. I’ve been wanting to try the Justrite stampers and would really enjoy them.
A quick healthy dinner is what I call foil packet meals. Just put fish fillets(I usually use tilapia or salmon) or boneless, skinless chicken breast on a sheet of aluminum foil and top with whatever fresh veggies you have on hand (I usually use baby carrot strips, broccoli, cauliflower, onion, green beans and zucchini)chopped in bite size pieces. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with a little salt, pepper and whatever seasonings you want(I use Grill Mates Roasted Garlic and Herbs)Tightly seal your packets by folding the foil along the top and sides. Put them on a cookie sheet and bake in a 375 degree oven for approximately 30 minutes or until the fish is flaky, the chicken is done and the veggies are tender but not mushy. You just fix as many packets as you have people and if someone doesn’t like fish(like my daughter) you can fix different things to suit different tastes. As a side I slice red potatoes and fix them exactly like I do the other packets,in foil, seasoned and drizzled the same. It’s a really yummy and good for you meal!My family loves it, even my teen age daughter.
The monogrammed cards are beautiful. Thanks for entering me in the drawing.
My favorite quick meal is lasagna also. When I make lasagna I usually make two pans and put one in the freezer for later use. This heats up pretty quickly and with some crispy garlic toast we are all set.
I love notecards, so the more ideas the better!!!!
My ‘go-to’ quick meal is (I’m embarassed to admit) Hamburger Helper!!! I love the Beef Pasta, my daughter loves the Lasgna. I keep 1 pound vacuum packed bags of cooked ground beef in the freezer, so all you have to do is thaw it in the pan and add the “kit”. LOL!!!
A quick meal at my house consists of a very quick stop by Walmart to grab a roasted Lemon Chicken, some mac & cheese from the deli and then prep a quick dinner salad with olive oil/lemon juice dressing. Quick, nutritious and ready to serve!
Sharon, I am so loving these ideas that your team is coming up with. Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions. Our favorite go to meal during the holidays is Taco Salad, we had this every Christmas Eve when I was a teenager. You brown the meat as usual for Tacos, but add one onion chopped and a can of Kidney Beans. While the meat is browning makea salad from your favorite Taco toppings, Lettuce, Cheese, Tomatoes, etc. Crumble up some Doritoes and put on top of the salad. Add Taco seasoning to the meat mixture and let simmer for 5 minutes. After the meat mixutre is done, put on top of the salad/chips and toss. Serve with Sour Cream, Guacomole, or your favorite salad dressing. Fast, easy, and Yummy.
Love these cards–so elegant yet so simple to make.
My favorite quick meal is either a rotisserie chicken with salad or any drive-thru will do.
a quick meal in our household cooked – is my chili, brown some turkey in onion. throw in 3 cans beans, 3 tbls chili powder, 1 tbs cumin, 1 can chopped tomatoes, slat and your good to go in 15 -20 minutes
Days ahead of time, I make a large pot of chicken and sausage gumbo – just have to heat it up and serve it with garlic Texas toast.
This is a favorite site – can’t wait to open it up everyday – thanks for the inspiration.
What lovely gift ideas! Pretty much every meal in my house is “quick” since I’m tragically kitchen challenged. On the rare occasion I have company, it’s usually ordering a pizza and throwing together a quick salad, and a yummy desert from the local bakery. Thanks for offering such great prizes today!!!
Our Christmas Eve meal is usually quite light in anticipation for a large family meal Christmas Day. We usually have a big kettle of homemade soup and cheese and crackers. I make the soup in advance sometimes if things are really busy. I love your creations! Very pretty! Thanks!
absolutely LOVE the top fold cards. they are just beautiful!
my quicky meal is a fantastic chicken tortilla soup in the crockpot. i can throw this together in less than 10 minutes and it simmers all day.
if you are interested – it is a simple recipe…dump in the crockpot a can of diced tomatoes, can of enchilada sauce, can of chopped green chilies, can of chicken broth, tsp of cumin, tsp of chili powder, salt, pepper, chopped onion, chopped garlic, 2 cups of water and shred up a rotissere chicken. give it a good mix and cook it on low all day. serve in bowls and top with shredded parmesean and tortilla chips.
Ooh, ooh, ooh I absolutely LOVE stauffer’s frozen lasagna! Too bad it takes so darn long to cook! My favorite quick meal is spaghetti! Boil noodles, heat some sauce (My fav is Ragu’s meat sauce), and brown some hamburger, heat up some veggies, and dinner’s on the table in a half hour! Then of course, there’s the great crock pot meals that are ready in no time flat (if you don’t count the prep the morning/evening before LOL)!
Such a pretty set! If we’re having a busy day, I’ll either throw in some frozen pizza, or if I’m really organized, I’ll stick something in the crockpot in the morning (chili or something). Our worst night is usually the school concert night!
Those cards are beautiful! The colors and designs work perfectly with the monogram.
Swedie
I usually serve chili and cornbread for my Christmas Eve meal. It can simmer all day and be ready when we come from church. All I have to do is bake the cornbread while I get everything else on the table. How I would love to win the harmony stampers and font set! Those are the two items next on my list to purchase. I love all the JR things I have so far. You note card set is wonderful, as your projects always are. I plan to make some for my two daughters in law for their birthdays.
First of all I love your blog it is so inspiring . i usually have a slowcooker going with sweet and sour meatballs this i serve with rice and a salad .Would love to win some blog candy .
Love, love, love these cards!! They are beautiful!!!
Hmmm, my quick meal is Tater Tot Casserole and lucky for me, it’s very popular with my family :D. Takes me just a few minutes to put it together and it’s very filling and I consider this casserole a comfort food :).
Brown 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef. While browning the beef add some onion powder, garlic powder, and real garlic to your personal taste. When the beef is browned, drain off the fat. Pour the cooked beef into a casserole dish and add 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of sour cream, and some shredded cheddar cheese, mix. Layer a bag of tater tots on top of the beef mixture, add some more shredded cheddar and bake for about 25 minutes at 425 degrees or until the tater tots are nice and brown. Serve with salad. Quick and easy and yummy :D.
One of my favorite quick dishes is Impossible Cheeseburger Pie made using Bisquick. It’s yummy! Thanks for the chance to win. Those JustRite products are awesome.
wow i am so happy sharon i got my lap top going so now i can play i love ham in the crock pot with vernors and brown sugar quick and easy and the boys love it thank you for all the work and candy have a awsome day
These are beautiful. To think all the paper that gets wasted when it goes unseen being used as a mat???? Well for this or any time of year, a quick meal is a good old fashioned meat loaf. It takes only a few minutes to put together the ingredients and if you make enough, you can make two servings, one in your loaf pan and the other you can spread out a bit in a cassarole dish so it is thinner. It takes less time to cook and then the next day or two when you are pressed for time, it takes only a few minutes to slice and place between two pieces of bread, add your favorite cheese and make a grilled meatloaf sandwhich. If you are tired of the same old meatloaf, try using some BBQ sauce instead of ketchup in the receipe and on top-it gives it a tangy little kick. Serve the dinner with a nice salad or some of those microwave steamed veggies and you are good to go, minimal mess, with maximum benifit and a couple of great lunches to boot. Enjoy.
For us it’s Papa Murphy’s pizza for a fast supper on a busy night. The whole family likes it and that make it so much easier!!
Thanks for the great blog. Love your work. I live alone and if I am home and don’t have time, or don’t want, to cook, I enjoy a KFC chicken pot pie. Thanks for offering the blog candy–keeping my fingers crossed.
Usually we’ll order up some pizzas, I believe that is one of the busiest nights of the year for the pizza men too. Thanks for the chance to be entered into your drawing.
Jannette D.
I’m new to stamping, but I am loving all your neat simple ideas. I’ve stamped occasionally with my mom, but she has all the supplies. (AND she’s over 2000 miles away!) Any way I’d love some stamps to help me get started and those stamps look awesome…
I’m very fond of a simple chili for hectic days. It can be made up the night before and refrigerated…then plug in your crock pot for 2-4 hours on medium. Tad da wonderful, simple meal. I brown some hamburger then mix in chili powder, garlic salt, italian seasoning, pepper, sweet basil, or any other spice you like to taste. (Unfortunately I just put a little bit of that, a lot of this, etc. so I’m not sure on my measurements.) Then the meat mixture in my removable crock pot dish. Add a can of tomatoe sauce, pinto beans(drained), kindney beans (drained), diced tomatoes (drained), and sometimes even italian stewed tomatoes (drained). Very simple! My husband loves it and its won a couple of chili contests. I usually serve alone, over rice or noodles. I also include a bowl of cheese and sour cream so people can help themselves. I often serve with french bread from the store. Great meal in no time!
We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve so we have a huge meal that night. Usually Roast beef, yorkshire pudding, potatoes, green beans almondeen, three layer jello salad plus some other goodies. We eat after we get back from church (luckily there are 4 services and we hit the 3 or 5 p.m. one), then we open our gifts, and after that we have dessert and get to enjoy the myriad of cookies my mom bakes (up to 15 different types) plus any baking my MIL brings on the Christmas they join us. Thus, I can’t help you out with any quick Christmas Eve dinners, but depending on how “dinnerish” you want to go I can think of a few things:
-Tacos are quick and easy and you can prep stuff in advance for it (i.e. cooking the chicken or beef for the insides along with chopping up the trimmings of tomatoes, grating the cheese, chopping lettuce, olives and whatever else you want to offer for them.
– Really quick and maybe not so filling – make nachos – easy peasy and basically another version of the taco.
– perogies are always a big hit in our house and you can fry up some garlic sausage to go with them….now my mouth is watering!!
– Crock pot meal is always a good way to go too.
Thanks for the chance to win yet again 🙂
We have a tradition of having soup on Christmas eve. It warms us up, and (since I usually make it the day before, or earlier) we can have it before or after church.
Our favorite is cheeseburger soup. Would be happy to share the recipe if you’d like! Just email me 🙂
I’m CASEing your gift set (except I’m using the bag/card shown here:
http://andreawalford.com/?p=809
to put them in) for teacher’s gifts! Thanks for the beautiful layouts!
Gotta love DP when you need quick but beautiful cards!
Beautiful card and the blog candy!!!!!!!!! WOW
Our Christmas eve dinner has been the same for years and don’t even ask me how it got started. When the kids were little we would go to early mass and then out to dinner but over the years fewer and fewer restaurants were open (understandably) so we ended up just going home. Someplace along the way homemade potato soup and tuna salad sandwiches became the Christmas Eve fare. Now my grown daughter comes home for Christmas and ‘expects’ potato soup and tuna salad on Christmas.
this gift looks just fantastic. i am trying to pull together some monogram sets myself and would love some JustRite goodies to help me out!!!
And as far as quick meals are concerned… pizza, pizza, pizza!!!!
k
Quick meal ideas: Fettucine Alfredo. I just saute up some mushrooms and green onion add some frozen shrimp. I always have a can of 4 cheese alfredo sauce on hand. Nuke it in the microwave. By time the noodles are boiled, everything is done…just toss it all together and throw in some garlic bread. Yummy…15 minutes at the max to make.
Awesome blog candy! Thanks for the opportunity.
Gloria
Hi Sharon! For a quick meal I’ve made grilled cheese and tomato soup. Not fancy at all – sorry. (blush) But I do like to make a casserole ahead of time if I know it is going to be a crazy night. Then I can just pop that in the oven and get other stuff done.
Your cards a stunning (as always). Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Your gift set is gorgeous!! I love the retired colors, too. I have to say the Special Font really makes them look very elegant! I have one box set of JustRite stamps/monograms, but this would really make my gifts extra special!
As for the quick meal, I usually pop a Digiorno pizza in the oven or if we are going to be away somewhere and want something when we get back home– I take the time to ball up some hamburger in marble-sized balls, brown them, then add them and some veggies to the crock pot with a couple of beef boullion cubes and seasonings, when we get home — hamburger soup. My guys LOVE it, and it is fairly cheap, too! 🙂 Kelly
Your work is so beautiful and inspirational! A quick meal for us is beef stew in the crockpot. I usually prepare my ingredients the day before. I get alot of help from the grocery store. I buy pre-cut veggies and beef stew meat from the grocery store. I put everything in a zip lock bag the day before. I get up Christmas Eve morning, put all my ingredients in the crock pot, turn it to low and it’ll be ready by the time we get home from church later on the evening. I usually serve it over rice.
Have a great Christmas season!
Love your blog and projects! Thankyou for sharing. I too love the Stouffer’s Frozen Lasagna I think it’s the only one that tastes like homemade, I would even be tempted to pop it out and put it in a dish and call it my own, don’t have a dish that size or I would. Other than that we usually do a crock pot dinner, stew, chili, etc. french bread and a salad, all ready whenever someone wants to eat and always enough for anyone that stops by. g
My instant meal is a Kalua pig and cabbage stir fry. So simple. Just heat up the Kalua pig (it’s already cooked) and stir in sliced cabbage until the cabbage is limp…..add salt and pepper as needed. That’s it. Serve with some rice and it’s a fast and delicious meal. Always a winner.
First of all these cards are beautiful. When I want a quick meal,
we usually buy Boston Chicken and bring it home. This time of the year is very hectic with shopping, decorating, and preparing for the holidays.
Barb
If I know I’m going to be pressed for time I put a package of chicken cutlets (they can even be frozen so it’s good for when I forget), a small can of sliced mushrooms, a couple of cans cream of chicken soup and salt and pepper to taste into my crock pot and cook it on low for about 8 hours. I serve it over rice and with a salad.
Love the card!!
My quick and dirty meal is Quiche – Wisk together Bisquick, eggs, and microwave a little bacon and onion, and pour into a baking dish. Layer thin tomato slices on the top and bake for 40 minutes. Perfect and easy! And if you use healthy stuff like leftover cooked veggies, even better!
Thanks for the chance to win an early Christmas present!
What beautiful work. Thanks so much for sharing all of it with us.
Because I am living alone while DH is out of town, for me quick meals are no problem – anything I can put into a tortilla. Dice up any leftovers, saute and put in a warm tortilla – delicious.
Hi~ I love these Just rite stampers…..I have several….. great project and very simple……
When I need a quick meal this time of year I make taco soup…so easy you just dump ingredients together and put some chips and cheese on top and it is nice and warm on a cold night. I usually put that chicken that is already cooked in the meat section of the grocery in it so that I am just warming everything together.
Taco soup — 1 package of taco seasoning, 1 can of corn, 1 can of ranch style beans, 1 can of rotel or canned tomatoes and 1 can of green chilies (small), and instead of most recipes having 1 package of hidden valley ranch dressing mix, I just squirt some ranch dressing in at this end and the meat such as browned hamburger or the pre cooked chicken. Hope this helps. Thanks for the chance to win!
I love your monogram cards! Lovely colors!
For a quick, easy meal that my boys love, I stop by the local Ukrainian Orthodox church and get a mess of their homemade pirogi. They are super easy to heat up and my boys devour them. A few of them aren’t living at home anymore, so they love this treat and think it’s special. That’s great because it’s really easy for me!
Definitely chili in the crockpot, tradition!! Your monogram cards ALWAYS get me. Fantastic job. Gina.
Sharon, I LOVE your cards, love those rounded corners! You’ve given me some great ideas for some note cards for my mom. I’ve been making her a set of stationery, an assortment of greeting cards, some desk accessories and some note cards for her birthday.
As for a “quick and easy” meal, I do a few things, since this is ALWAYS a chore for me (cooking). My best suggestion is “cook ahead and freeze”. I have several pre-made pasta/meatball/sauce dinners, lasagna, chicken and brocolli casseroles, and meat loaves already almost totally cooked and in the freezer. I don’t cook them fully. What I do is put them in foil pans, cook 3/4 of the way, let cool and freeze. Then, I can thaw them out and heat them up and let them finish cooking in the convection cycle of our microwave convection oven.
I also cook up tons of stew beef with onions and garlic and make a broth, and then freeze that in meal portions. And what I also do for stew is to repackage frozen veggies – green beans, peas, baby carrots, and lima beans. I smash the bags against the edge of the counter to separate the veggies, and divide them among four gallon sized vac seal bags and vacuum seal them with the Foodsaver. Then I vac seal the beef/broth, and put the two bags for a stew (meat and veggies) into a large freezer bag. Today is a stew day here – I took out a bag, nuked the stuff to thaw it, threw it in the crock pot, added another 2 cans of beef broth plus some herbs, and later on I’ll scrub and chop up some potatoes. That’ll be our quick meal for today, and DH will pick up fresh bread on his way home from work.
But my BEST, quickest, easiest “quick meal” is take-out. We have a fab place locally that delivers, and Applebee’s Carside-to-Go is also terrific!
I love your site!! So much inspiration and TALENT!! My favorite quick meal is a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, add a steamed vegetable, some easy garlic mashed potatoes and we call it great!
A quick meal for my husband and myself would proably be some ribs from the freezer, salad and fries.
My quick meals are single servings of something that I had previously made and frozen. Living alone, if I cook a full meal I will get at least 3 frozen dinners out of it that I can quickly defrost and heat.
Beautiful Cards! I hate to say that my meal is exactly the same as yours. Also love the Italian Lasagna and it’s a meal everyone in my family enjoys. I have also been known on occasion to run to M&M’s meat shop and buy a premade meal, heat it up, add some dinner buns and we’re ready to eat. Hope you enjoy your holidays! Blessings, CM
Hi Sharon.
Just love the cards. They are so stylish. I have been trying to figure out which Just Rite products to buy and I still can’t make a final decision (any suggestions)? A quick meal for me (i am alone), I bake a wonderful big baked potato and top it with fresh cooked vegetables, a little butter, a little olive oil, salt and pepper and I am ready to go!
Thanks for offering the great blog candy!
My honey’s favorite meal (which is super-fast to make, so I love it, too!) is Nacho Cheese Soup. Brown a pound of ground beef with 2 tsp of cumin, mix in 2 cans of chicken broth and 1 24-oz jar of salsa. Bring to a boil, then mix in 2 cans of Campbell’s Fiesta Nacho Cheese Soup. Stir until blended and serve with tortilla chips and diced avocado, if desired.
I think I make this at least 3 times a month, more often in the winter. this is definitely the type of meal to make when you’re in a hurry to go do something more exciting, like stamping!
I love your project — the colors are wonderful and monogrammed sets like these are so elegant and personal. And thanks for the chance to win.
Costco makes a great big Chicken Pot Pie. That’s always a good family meal in the Winter. Ad a nice green salad and dinner is served. Love your cards!
Hey Sharon,
What lovely cards! Tee hee, I have been snatching recipes! My husband and son are both vegans, so I fix what we call “Haystacks”. I heat up a couple of large cans of Bush’s vegetarian baked beans and set out chopped black olives, chopped onions, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar (for me), shredded vegan cheese for them, ready bags of lettuce, tortilla chips, salsa, and ranch dressing (again for me). Place the chips on the plate and cover with yummy beans, drained or with the sauce ~ however ya like it ~ then layer with lettuce and the rest and top off with salsa and ranch dressing or just salsa. yum yum!
Beautiful note cards! Love that paper, the colours are so calm and pretty! Love the bling and ribbon, they add such wonderful elegance to your gorgeous cards!
Quick meals only work if my kids will eat them LOL! Usually I make up big batches of spagetti sauce and freeze it in 2-3 serving portions. So for a quick meal I thaw and heat the sauce in the microwave(3- 5 mins), and while that is on the go, spagetti takes 10 mins to cook, and voila…a quick and hearty meal that my kids will eat!
Gorgeous cards!! My quick go-to meal on busy nights is macaroni & cheese with tuna. If I think far enough ahead, I’ll throw something in the crockpot. Taco Soup is quick and easy one!
Your notecards are gorgeous! I hate to admit it but when I’m overwhelmed during the holidays (usuall on the Saturday or Sunday before Christmas when I do my baking marathon) I order in a pizza. So, don’t be ashamed of your Stouffer’s lasagna! LOL!
My quick meal is spaghetti and meat sauce. It’s quick and easy. Sometimes I put shredded zuchinni in it to make it a little healthier. I love the stamp set and you’re cards are beautiful! I hope I win!
What beautiful cards, and what a gorgeous font! The monogrammed letters are so elegant. In our house a quick meal is usually a “kitchen sink” burrito – the leftover rice, some refried beans, and the various pieces of chicken or whatever that weren’t finished off, topped with some taco sauce and the always-in-the-fridge shredded cheese. Wrap up the tortilla and microwave it and it’s ready to go! It can be made veggie and it always fills you up.
Thanks for a great 12 days of Christmas!
Oh I’m so bad, but for a quick meal we’ll just head out the door to our favorite restaurant! Have a nice day!
I don’t know why, but hot dogs and sausages never get old for hubby and I. And since we play volleyball three nights a week, we need a LOT of quick meals.
My quick meal on busy nights is tacos/taco salad. I try to keep crunchy and soft shells on hand as well as a bag-o-lettuce. Thanks for letting us play!!
Spaghetti with Italian sausage! Easy – easy! Thanks for the great give a way! I LOVE just rite stampers!
pasta with any sauce will do,thanks……..gina
I llike to make soups ahead of time, then just warm them up for supper.
Kate
Beautiful cards! My quick meal would be spagetti, salad, and garlic bread. I usually make my sauce in the fall and freeze it, then all I have
to do is thaw it, warm it and serve.
Sounds like we have the same recipe for a quick yummy meal! What a great staionery set – thanks for the chance to play!
Well, our favorite “quick” meal on Christmas Eve, is take and bake pizzas from Papa Murphy’s! We usually have a house full of people in different age ranges, and everyone is happy with pizza! Love all your fabulous ideas Sharon!
Your cards and box are so gorgeous and the bow just makes it all the better. Oh, I want to try that monogram jobber now. You make it seem so easy! Fast meal – DiGiorno’s Ultimate frozen pizza is the fastest and easiest. We love the Supreme one! But, if I am forced to really make something – our favorite is to make hamburger patties and cook them and add Golden Mushroom Soup (Campbells) to that. While that is simmering, I make instant mashed potatoes and throw some frozen peas in the microwave. Then, we are ready to eat in less than 30 minutes at the max and all warm and fuzzy with contented tummies. If there are extra hamburger patties and the soup left – freeze and put in the microwave for an even quicker meal another time! Christmas Eve is usually a chili night or the lasagne – either home made or frozen. Thanks for all the great goodies you are giving away as well as all the ones you created!
My favourite quick meal is tuna mornay using a tin of tuna and a packet of pasta with sauce.Very quick and easy. Thanks for the chance to win this great prize that would be give lots of use in my house.
Lovely samples, Sharon ! Thanks so much for inspiring us with your talent.
quick meals for us are homemade tacos, breakfast for supper, or pick up a pizza. this looks like awesome candy. never tried just rite yet, so this would be a very merry way to start.
My quick meal fix would have to be Philly cheese steak sandwiches. I buy the steaks already shaved so it just goes into the frying pan with some onions, fry it up, and put it on the bun with some cheese. Very, very easy and fast! Otherwise, my fast meal( just for me) would be a bowl of cold cereal (I know, that is terrible!!)
You have soooo many great things planned for this week. It has been exciting each day to see who and what has been planned for us. Thanks for all you have done!! Congrats again on all your hits!
Our Christmas Eve meal is always tamales. I buy a couple dozen ahead of time and freeze them. When we’re ready, I steam them on the stovetop, add some Spanish rice and beans, and we’re done. Doesn’t sound much like Christmas Eve dinner, but it has become a tradition. On occassion, we dress up and go to a really nice restaurant. It’s a nice treat and the kids enjoy going to a “fancy” restaurant.
Thanks for the opportunity to win some fabulous prizes!
What gorgeous cards…thanks for all the inspiration!
Christmas Eve has always been a crazy busy day for us too. We always have to be at Church really early since my husband has to set up the sound system. So when our children were young, we always ordered Chinese take-out on Christmas Eve…and it became another one of our family traditions. Now that our children are older, I was going to make a “real” Christmas meal, but our kids insisted we “have to” order Chinese. Works for me!
Thanks for this chance to win sweet candy!
~Brenda H.
I like to throw some chicken breasts in the oven and bake them. When they are almost done, 50 minutes on 350, i take them out and baste them with a mix of Apple Cinnamon BBQ sauce and vinegar. Delightful, easy and no fuss!
Our dd’s family is living with us so my quick meal is to let her cook!!!! Soup or breakfast type food is another quick option at our house.
I really want your blog candy. I do not like lining up my alpha stamps to made woods or phrases so this would be perfect. I love the type, also.
Congrats, Sharon, and thanks for all the wonderful inspiration(enabling)!!!!
a quick meal is to put a roast in the slow cooker and then buy some nice dinner roles and a bag of salad and it cooks while you can get on with other things
love all of the celebration and the ideas
Eileen
I love your samples. I took advantage of the weekend sale at JustRite but didn’t get the one with this font, so winning this would make it perfect! Thanks for the chance to win such a great prize!
I love your cards. I made a set but didn’t round the edges, which I think I will do with the next set – it really helps make the cards! For a quick dinner I usually get out my hamberger soup recipe and fix it in the AM so all I have to do is preheat it in the evening. My granddaughters love us to get a roasted chicken at the store, but of course I have to make the mashed potatoes to go with it! Thanks for an opportunity to win something from JustRite – I really like their products!
I use anything from costco frozen section as a quick meal. They have a wonderful garlic chicken and pasta dish!
I love your cards! The colors and font are so pretty. I can’t wait to start my JustRite collection! Hope I win a set first! One of our favorite quick dinners is also the Stouffer’s w/ garlic bread and green beans on the side!
The quick meal I enjoy making is called “Quick Chili.” It’s easy to make, takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish. What makes it even better is listening to those eating it rave on and on about how delicious it is 🙂 Thanks for offering the JustRite stamps; would love to try them out!
If my husband weren’t at home (out doing something), I’d be satisfied with nibbling on whatever is around the frig or cupboards. I’d probably pick the girls up something quick at a drive through (their metabolism is still very high….so no worries there!) Buuuut, if my husband is at home, it usually is a salad with some sort of leftovers from the frig. On occasion, he’ll be satisfied with a sub sandwich or mexican food from a quickie restaurant nearby.
i fix frozen pierogies…LOL!!! your samples are great, thank you for your inspiration!
What gorgeous notecards Sharon! These are so beautiful, as are all of your monogrammed designs!!!
Our quick meal is Boboli thin pizza topped with Boboli pizza sauce, grated cheddar cheese, chopped vegies and cubed ham. Our easy Xmas eve dinner is clam chowder made from scratch, but still quite easy and can be made early in the day. Serve with green salad and bread. Dessert, Xmas cookies of course 🙂
Sharon, your candy looks wonderful! Love your cards and box too. TFS your Celebration with all of us 🙂
I first have to comment on your awesome cards/stationary. I actually kept a sketch of another one of your sets using the JustRite Monogram to reference when I make sets for all my employees for Christmas. You are extremely talented and I LOVE how classy your cards looks.
Easy meals: Taco Soup in the crock pot:
Ingredients
1 lb beef (can use chicken or turkey)
1 onion
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn
1 (14 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
2-3 cups water
1 (10 ounce) can Rotel tomatoes
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
Or the 2-bean chili recipe on the back of the huge can of Campbell’s Tomato Juice. I use the whole can and add a can of Rotel for a little kick!
A quick meal around here is always pasta. I throw in whatever leftovers I have with a little olive oil and parmesan and its a meal.
Cynthia
How fun! It’s not a holiday meal by any means – but my quick meal is black bean soup! I use Goya Black Bean soup, salsa, black beans and frozen corn – throw it all the crock pot and forget about it!
Congrats on all your fun!!!
Beautiful monogram cards. I do love the Just Rite products. I got in on the 2 for 1 deal and my stamping friends will have a Just Rite Christmas. I don’t have this special occasion set and will keep my fingers crossed to win it.
I love your monogrammed cards. Such gorgeous colours together. Thanks for another chance to win some amazing Justrite products. Quick and easy for us when I don’t have time or am just too tired, is usually pizza.
At busy times, I always have some hearty Irish stew in the freezer ready to be warmed up and served with a tossed green salad and freshly made soda bread. The whole thing takes about 15 minutes of prep and 35 minutes for the bread to bake!
Broccoli chowder is a favorite around our house. It is my go to meal if we need something quick and healthy. Just cook chopped broccoli in chicken broth for flavor. When tender, add milk, cheese (any kind) and a little cornstarch to thicken. Wala, done!! Enjoy your Christmas Eve, no matter what meal you make, it is spent with family.
Soup or chili are always a good quick meal. If it’s just my husband and me, PBJ suits him!! Thanks for the chance at this great candy!
I live alone, so if I’m serving a meal to others, it’s rarely a quick one. But when I need a quick meal during this busy time, I love cozying up with a Marie Calendar’s Chicken Pot Pie (the smaller 10oz. one). It cooks in 5 minutes, I recycle the box & bowl, and the cleanup is done! More time for stamping! Have a blessed day,
Chris
My favorite quick meal is breakfast for dinner. Takes no time to scramble up some of my special creamy cheesy scrambled eggs and bacon. Add some toast and a little fruit, and you have a yummy comfort food filled meal. You card set is divine! Thanks for the chance to win! Best, Curt
I love these cards!!!! These are absolutely gorgeous, so elegant. Thanks for sharing.
Stouffer’s Frozen Lazagna and Garlic Bread is also one of our quick standby meals…. it’s either that or Chili with Garlic Bread.
Thanks for the chance to win!
Merry Christmas.
I’m just the sous chef at our house, since my husband is retired. He can whip up anything fast, but my fastest menu is taco salad. For Christmas Eve, gumbo is always great! It takes a while, but freezes well.
Sharon, your website is my absolute favorite! I love everything you make. I haven’t been able to stamp, because I lost most of my stuff to Hurricane Ike. I will soon be in a new house, and I’m looking forward to spending quality time stamping. Keep those beautiful cards and projects coming for inspiration!
When I make spaghetti sauce, I usually make a big batch and freeze smaller containers for those nights when we are really pressed for time. Then all you have to do is heat the sauce, add frozen meatballs, boil the water for the spaghetti and make some garlic bread. Our son would eat spaghetti ever night of the week if you let him!
Favorite quick meal is fried rice and homemade chicken fingers. I don’t own any just rite products yet so here’s hoping to win.
Sharon:
I also make the Stouffer’s lasagna along with a huge salad and garlic bread. It is so easy and just makes the house smell so good – I love it.
Thank you for the chance to win the JustRite Stamps – I love them.
Have a great evening.
Janet
We make a fresh quick marinara sauce when we are short on time. Onions, tomatoes, basil, parsley and garlic!
Janine
Soup and sandwiches always make a great quick meal. Sloppy joes are also a fast one. Love your cards!!
Love these note cards & as soon as I’m finished here I’m off to Deb’s blog for more inspiration! You are so generous w/the blog goodies! I make chili for a quick meal.
Our Christmas Eve traditional dinner is pretty quick – cheese fondue with apples and marbled rye. Other times my quick go to “meal” is cereal. My husband, son and I all love it and you can’t beat it for being quick! 🙂
Your cards are beautiful!
Beautiful gift set, Sharon. Very elegant.
Our quick meal usually consists of Mac n cheese. Hmmm!
Karen
Christmas Day we always have a very large sub from subway we get it the day before with everything in seperate containers and have that with a veggie and fruit tray and lots of cookies , use to do the BIG dinner but love this since starting it so much more time for enjoying family & they love it too!
Love the cards! My favorite dish on Christmas Eve is a bowl of warm chicken noodle soup!
During this hectic time of year I like to throw something in the crock pot or make a big batch of chili. Great projects, and I would love to WIN this!! 🙂
Christmas Eve is hectic, what with the evening service at church and the late nite frantic wrapping. We lean towards our childhood comfort food….tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. This is not something we have very often.
Great Monogram cards!
My quick go-to meal is usually ground beef soft tacos…brown the meat, add some seasoning shred some cheese and lettuce and call it good!! We actually just had it tonight!! 🙂
What beautiful cards! Thank you for the chance to enter the giveaway! My favorite meal to cook when in a rush is either roast beef sandwiches – drop half a pound of sliced roast beef into thinned roast beef gravy (or brown gravy) and let simmer for awhile and serve on rolls. Or make chicken quesadillas using Campbell’s cheese sauce. Very simple and filling to make.
Love your blog! For my quick meal, I throw together tortilla soup! We love it!
Running short on time means my husband picks up Subway on his way home.
What a treat!
When I don’t have a lot of time to cook, I like to make pasta with meat sauce. I buy a pound of italian sausage, cut them into pieces, pan fry them, add a jar of marinara sauce, and bring to a simmer. Pour over pasta and voila! A 20 minute meal. I find most store bought pasta sauces a bit bland, and love the flavor and intensity the sausage adds to it.
My hubby makes the best chili, and we have that with sandwiches. If we can, we also have shrimp cocktail (it was my mom’s favorite holiday fare). It’s great to see all the traditions everyone has – what a tremendous time of year! Thanks, too, for the blog candy offer! Absolutely love the cards and all my JustRite stamps, but don’t have these. Thanks for the inspiration!
My quick meal? Blackend Salmon (individually frozen – From Sam’s Club)
Nuked sweet Potato or Wild Rice from mix – Spring Mix from a bag w/ Vinaigrette dressing – Voila!
Beautiful cards Sharon.
My quick meal would be soup and sandwiches.
Or Beef stew and home made rolls.
love your gift set! I am hoping to make some for gifts too and this blog candy would be perfect! Thanks for the chance to win it. For a quick meal I usually take out some soup from the freezer and serve it with a nice bread. I tend to make quite a bit of soup and make a large quantity when I do specifically so I have it for fast meals. It is good if I have forgotten to take something out for dinner too- freezer to the table in about 30 minutes while it is heating up.
What a gorgeous collections of cards! They have such a clean, fresh look!
A quick dinner for us on Christmas eve would be a pasta dish made with a bacon sauce. The sauce is very quick to make with chopped bacon ( I remove most of the fat), canned petite diced tomatoes, onions, S&P and a little sugar. It’s a snap to make, and very quick and easy. I serve it with a salad and dinner is ready. I’d be happy to share the recipe!
Love your monogrammed cards.
Christmas Eve our tradition is to always have pizza! Couldn’t be easier, just have to find someone who is open.
Our favorite quick meal is breakfast for supper … it takes no time at all to whip up some scrambled eggs with pesto, pre-cooked bacon, and toast.
A rotisserie chicken from Costco, add some kind of potato or rice, a salad, and voila, dinner is ready.
BTW, love your notes cards, they are so pretty! Thanks for sharing.
My quick meal would have to be shrimp scampi on pasta with a salad. It’s ready in 30 minutes.
Sharon, I enjoy visiting your site from time to time….your work is very tasteful and inspiring….these cards are lovely! hope you don’t think my
easy meal suggestion is lame, but here it is:
When I need something quick I make Chicken Tortilla Soup……It’s quick to make and doesn’t require rocket-science measuring!
2 cans of all-white meat chicken–not drained(Not sure of the oz. per can, but it’s a little bigger than the 6 oz. tuna can size–all out of this item -or I would go look)
32 oz. of cartoned chicken broth
15 oz. can of finely diced tomatoes
1 package Rice a Roni (Spanish)
1 (cup) Salsa (optional and you can pick mild or hot according to your taste-I usually leave this out and just let anyone who wants it add it to their bowl)
Adding a couple of cups of water make it soupier, but we like it thicker!
Pour all ingredients in the pot, and put on stove and bring to boil then simmer about 25 min. (you don’t want to overdo it because the Rice A Roni starts thickening too much—however I take it for lunch the next day and it’s more like a casserole and that’s fine with me)
To serve I place tortilla chips, sour cream, shredded cheese, avocado (just whatever I have on hand) and we layer the chips on the bottom and build to taste.
You can serve a green salad with this….
I’m not really a gourmet cook and I like things that can be “thrown” together so I have more time to “play” with my toys!j
Thanks and have a blessed Christmas. Kathy
A quick meal around here is called “Schwans”!! The chicken strips or pizza are easy and good. We live in the country and ninety some miles away from Wal-mart, Costco or any fast food resteraunt. We just can’t pop into a store and grab something so we are kinda limited on that kind of easy meals. Great cards!!
This isn’t my entry for the blog candy – I’ve already done that earlier – I just came back to post the link to my entry if you care to take a peek.

I have to confess I don’t have a favorite standby quickie meal. We usually do cereal if we are going to be very late getting home. Or I will do frozen chicken strips and frozen fries when I am busy and don’t want to stop to cook. I would love to win the rectangles. Love your work. You are very talented. Thanks for this posting – I may find some recipes for future use!
Just love this set..Traditionally on Christmas Eve we will have homemade Seafood chowder and Tourtierre (meat pie). this is all made ahead of time so is very easy when it is time to eat.
I have two boys, one of which is a very picky eater. We often need a quick meal especially at this time of year. Hot dogs always work or chicken fingers. Sometimes, I just go through the drive-thru and get them to eat in the car as we drive to the store to go shopping. They are much more fun to shop with on a full stomach. I love your cards. I hope to make some as teacher gifts. Hopefully I will have the time.
Love all your ideas. I think I’ll try that lasagna some time soon. Maybe it’ll work for a quick meal for us some time. My quick meal usually is spagetti.
OH! I don’t own any JustRite Stampers but I’d really like to! An easy, favorite meal for my family is a chicken casserole. So simple! Cook some noodles, a couple of cans of soup & a little milk and, Bam, it’s ready to bake and everyone loves it!
Beautiful cards, Sharon! Our traditional “quick” meal on Christmas Eve is Lasagne, too, as you probably remember. What makes it quick is that I prepare it early in the month for my Christmas Hostess party and freeze some for our family Christmas Eve…in fact I am making it tomorrow, and after that I hope to get in some serious stamping time and do some of these great challenges I am seeing here! Merry, Merry Christmas!
I would love to win a JustRite set.
Our quick meal would either be Chili with peanut butter sandwiches, or Chicken/Noodles.
Such elegant cards you shared today – thank you!
My favorite meal to make quick is spaghetti. I use Hunt’s spaghetti sauce, a small can of mushrooms, a small can of sliced olives, and cooked turkey sausage. I add store-bought french bread and a pitcher of iced tea, and sometimes a bagged salad, too. It’s a meal that I can get on the table in less than 30 minutes, fills us up, and just tastes darn-tootin’ good!
In my family we serve a lot of dishes. We have Turkey , ham, Asian food and a lot of desserts . I have to say my favorite is dessert. Pistacchio Cream pie is my favorite.
Thank you for the chance to win and your cards are beautiful
My fast meal is something I do ahead. I usually make a couple lasagna’s and freeze them. I also serve ceasar salad with the lasagna, and I make a homemade dressing that is good for 3 weeks in the refrigerator. And some garlic bread, yummy!!!! I always make 2 because who knows how many people there will be for dinner, but I won’t be caught without enough! lol Thank you for the chance to win your awesome blog candy!! I love those Just Rite stamps!
🙂
Kim P.
Your note cards are beautiful. My quick meal is spaghetti and meatballs. I use a prepared sauce, frozen meatballs, and I add some spices for added flavor. Thank you for the chance to win. The JustRite stamps are on my wish list.
Happy Holidays!
Debbie S.
I laughed about your Christmas Eve dinner — that’s what we have too! Sometimes I’ll shake it up a little bit and buy pre-made stuffed shells and bake those instead. We’ve got a couple of great local Italian food companies nearby that stock their products in the local markets, so it’s almost as good as homemade. Thanks for the candy op! Love the Just Rite stampers.
woohoo great chance to win…i have not tried just rite stamps yet but would love to and what better way then to win!!! pizza is our quick meal! also omelettes with assorted fillings are quick and easy with some pillsbury biscuits or croissants…
have a wonderful holiday
Wow! What great blog candy! For a quick meal, I do McDonalds! You can’t beat it.
After seeing your beautiful cards using the JustRite stamps, I’m now sold on buying JustRite stampers. Now, if I were to be the winner here, that would get me off to a wonderful start!
As for my quick meal…I just have my husband cook! How quick is that? LOL
Oh, and I see that I’m comment number 3 million, so if I win, I’ll feel like I’ve won the lottery.
Donna
I doctor up a store bought can of chilli and add a grilled cheese to the plate. PB and J always is s gret option with a tall glass of COLD milk. Thanks for sharing!
Your cards are beautiful. I would love to win this set. I have some Just Rite stamps, but not these. For a quick meal I usually fix spaghetti with a salad and garlic bread. Thanks for sharing your great ideas.
Love this set!
My quickie meal is vegetable and shrimp stirfry w/white rice or pasta.
The frozen lasagna is one of my ez meals too.
Thanks.
I absolutely love the cards. When we’re busy I also like to make Stouffer’s Frozen Lasagna but the chicken one. Simple, easy, and delicious. Thanks for the chance to win.
I like to serve potato soup and Irish soda bread for a quick (warm) meal.
Great project ideas! I love your stuff. For my family, we make a concoction of chicken chunks cooked in Miracle Whip (of all things), broccoli, velveeta cheese, water, and Minute Rice. It’s a skillet meal and it’s really quite tasty. The Miracle Whip gives the chicken a sort of sweet tinge. I love the Stouffer’s Lasagne, too.
Thank you for offering such amazing blog candy! I have wanted to try out the Just Rite stamps for awhile now. My favorite quickie meal is Chili. We buy the Bushes chili starter in a can and add a can of diced tomatoes and 1 pound of lean ground beef. It is so good, and really takes the chill out of a cold winters day.
we usually eat tamales on Christmas Eve. We get them from our favorite restaurant & put either chili or picante sauce on them according to what each one likes.
Lovely Sharon! as always!!! Quick meal for us is something I can throw into the crock pot like stew or soup! Cooks all day while the cook is away!!!…stamping of course!
I am new to your blog, but love what I see!! For a quick meal I cook macaroni (any shape) and add to tomato juice and heat through. Serve with cornbread muffins or grilled cheese. Happy holidays!!
You seriously could not have picked more amazing colors! WOWIE! Just gorgeous.
Sharon, I adore your exquisite cards as always! and I’ll never tie a bow like that! Such great JustRite products. For an easy meal, I buy a nice lean small 1/2 cooked ham with no bone (Schneiders Old Fashioned are great) and throw it in the oven with baking potatoes and some honey mustard poured over. Can you say no work, and YUM? 😉 Happy Holidays!
Thanks for sharing your talent and the Blog Candy. When I need a quick meal during the winter, I run to the grocery and get Chicken breasts, frozen veggies (we like California blend) and some cream of chicken soup. I set the overn for 350, coat the chicken with bread crumbs, fill the soup can 3/4’s with milk and throw everything in my glass baking dish and into the oven for 35-45 mins and off we go. Serve with a side salad and crescent rolls and the family loves it.
Oh I so wish that I would be the VERY LUCKY winner of these. Sounds like just the stamps that i need for all those sentiments that I’m longing to use.
Thanks for a chance to win.
Beautiful Card!! I love the colors. Ok, lets see….A quick meal. Oh I know, one that my fiance really likes is taco salad. You just brown up some ground beef or turkey, then put a can of drained corn in there and a small jar of pace picante sauce. I use mild. Salt and pepper to taste. Then you get your plate out and get a handful of corn chips and moosh them on to your plate so they break in to bite-sized pieces, then you put a scoop of the meat mixture on to the chips, then your grated cheddar cheese, then your shredded lettuce and olive, beats, what ever else you want on top of it, then I actually put ranch dressing on top. You got yourself and quick and satisfying meal. Hope that helps. Oh, and my fiance loves that Stoffer’s Lasagna too. LOL……
Hugs,
Alena in California
Oh we have many quick meals around here because we’re always on the go. Taco Salad is a favorite. A head of lettuce, some precooked hamburger meat out of the freezer, chili beans, cheese, tomatoes, fritos and you’re good to go. Another favorite is spaghetti. We doctor up the premade sauce and boil a pot of spaghetti, a loaf of cheese french bread in the oven and you have a yummy dinner in less than 30 min.
Love the blog candy!
Tina
Your notecards or so beautiful and elegant, it gives me incentive to try some!
My quick meal is usually Papa Murphy’s Pizza…but if I am “cooking” it would probably be grilled cheese for me, or a tuna melt…yumm~
Love your choice of blog candy today, Sharon, yes, I can only hope!!
I hope I win what a great prize this would be for the holidays!!!!!Thanks for the opportunity. Fast meals at my place are spagetti salad and heated garlic french bread whicht the little ones love and dont forget the made ahead of time meatballs precooked and stored in freezer bags, WE also love taco night. Dinner is ready in 20 minutes on Taco day. Love the blog candy Happy Holidays Yvette
we are always making quick meals my husband is a lineman for our local electric company so he works crazy hours and I am an RN working in the cardiac cath lab so we often have to make quick meals…we do however make sure that our family eats good meals just cause the meal is quick doesn’t mean bad for you…we will often make turkey sloppy joes or turkey tacos…
this is so easy, but the kids love it and it doesn’t make a mess! to make chicken quesadillas just open and drain a can of chicken, put it in a small bowl, mash it and add taco sauce to coat all the chicken. butter one side of a tortilla, put it on a hot griddle, cover 1/2 the tortilla with the chicken mixture and sprinkle co-jack shredded cheese over the chicken. fold the tortilla over to cover the chicken. bake until golden brown, flip to brown the other side. service with sour cream and anything else that sounds good to you! love, love, love the monogram card and the blog candy 🙂 thanks a million!
i make a whole wheat pizza dough and keep frozen crusts on hand. it thaws fast and is ready for a hearty pizza in 15 min.
Should I be embarassed to admit that I order Chinese take-out??? It’s quick, easy, everyone loves it, and theres not a lot of cleanup to do afterwards!
I just stumbled on your blog.. your projects are GORGEOUS!! Quick meals..I roast a bunch of vegetables on a cookie sheet with EVOO, some season mix I made (garlic, onion, sweet smokey paprika, s&p), then serve them with a beef patty or other piece of meat/protein. Most everything goes in the oven. But on Christmas Eve, I always make Posole!! I was taught by a Spanish lady years ago the recipe.. and now my kids have a fit if I don’t cook it!! Come on down and have some New Mexican Posole!!
Love your blog!! Thanks for all the inspiration!! For us it chunky soup for a quick meal.
I love to do a turkey breast in the crock pot. About the last hour of cooking time throw in 2 cups of instant rice right in to the juices. It absorbs the juice and better than any rice a roni I’ve ever had. Love every thing you do on your blog and visit you often.
Oh WOW- The cards are great and making Monogram cards is alot of fun. Thank you for the Candy and not tooth ache. LOL
My favorite quick and easy meal is none other than U.P. pasties, preferably from Pasty Central. We love ’em!
Thanks for the chance at winning some great blog candy, and for all the fun challenges and events!
I adore your blog. Great question–I got some good meal tips! For us, a very quick meal, and one my 8 year old DS *loves*, is just toasty grilled cheese sandwiches and Progresso tomato soup! Thanks for another chance at candy!
Spectacular boxed cards! I need to learn to make bows a nice as yours. A quick meal eh! That would be brown and spice ground beef then mix with cooked pasta and place in a casserol dish. Shred Mozzarella cheese over the top and bake ’til cheese is melted and golden brown. Serve with Garlic bread and salad.
Love, love, love these cards! Beautiful colour scheme and anyone would be thrillled to receive these as a gift.
Now about that blog candy . . . . . .
I completely agree with you about lasagne being the perfect Christmas Eve meal, but I usually try to have a home-made one ready in the freezer. My kids favourite ‘real-quick’ meal is blueberry pancakes!!
Quick Meal = Take Out
Thats pretty quick huh?
Julia
Gosh, Sharon, that gift set is lovely!! Thank you for the opportunity to win a some Just Rite blog candy. Because we often gather mid-day to late afternoon on Christmas Eve, our meals are generally fairly casual. Last year I was a little appalled but we ended up having pizza and salad and my 3 grandkids thought it was the greatest. So much for tradition… ;-D
Being single, I don’t cook much so a quick meal for me would be a bowl of cereal or tossing something frozen in to the microwave.
These are beautiful cards. I love my JustRite Stamps. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
such a beautiful set of cards! hmmm, i really should do this challenge, then use the cards as a teacher’s gift! thanks for a chance!!
Beautiful cards and box! They look so elegant!
For a quick meal, I love to make chili. It’s very easy and so tasty!
I see so many great ideas, thanks for asking!!
Thank you for the blog candy offering!
Wonderful!
I like to make Elbows and Ground Beef for a quick meal. Brown the ground beef add some onion, bell pepper and S&P. Then add some tomato sauce. Boil up some macaroni noodles and add them to the beef mixture. Yummy.
Hope I win!
WOW! Amazing projects today, and a terrific giveaway! Fingers crossed!
Quick and easy meals for me always involve the crock pot — lots of time cooking, of course, but at least I don’t have to be in the kitchen!
So elegant! I love your blog and thanks for the opportunity to win such wonderful stuff!!!
Our quick and easy meal is grilled cheese and soup. Good warm and filling food for those cold winter nights!
Beautiful project, as always! Well, I don’t know what screams Christmas but a pizza dinner on Christmas eve, lol, right? Seriously, when I was little, my Mom declared Christmas eve dinner as a “pick up” dinner night… hot dogs, maybe grilled cheese…simple and fast. Christmas night was the big ham and turkey, which, really, aren’t that time-consuming either. Fine by me…that’s time better spent playing! Betsy
I love the monogramed cards. That paper is one on my favorites. I have a new craft room that has the same colors in it. One of our favorite quick meals is southwestern chili. Two cans of each: tomato soup-small can, Hormel chili no beans-I use turkey chili, bean with bacon soup, one can of corn with juice, 1 lb groud beef or turkey cooked up with onion. You may add some chili powder if you want a little kick. Mix all together, heat and serve with freshly grated cheese and tortilla chips. This works great in a crock pot. Thanks for sharing, Shelley
For something quick I will throw together a pot of broccoli soup and some muffins. My recipe for the soup takes no time at all and I cheat with muffins from a mix. It is a warm and comforting meal that my family all loves! GREAT BLOG!!!!!
What beautiful cards and AMAZING blog candy! This celebration has been so much fun and the info is helpful, too, during this hectic time of the year. I have the best clam chowder recipe (has cream cheese in it!), so that’s always been our Christmas Eve supper after church, along with a congealed salad and warm sour dough bread. All can be ready the day before and just heated and served quickly. My other favorite for a busy holiday dinner is take out! The best for tired moms!
Thanks again for all the fun!
debra~
I routinely make a bit extra of several different meals to freeze. That way, we can have a quick home-made meal in minutes. Your projects this week are great, and thanks for the chance to win such generous candy!
Great cards, as always. My quick meal is chicken breast on the grill, baked potatoes in the microwave and a salad – or frozen pizza.
Gorgeous, gorgeous cards! Our quick meal is usually nachos that I put together really quick. Add some onions to ground meat, comino, a bit of salt. Pile onto some tortilla chips, load up with black beans and lots of cheese and pop into the oven to melt the cheese. Add jalapenos and homemade salsa…yum!
One of the best quick meals I’ve found is pasta salad. I’ll boil up some pasta and while it’s cooking I’ll chop up any vegetables I have on hand. Then I’ll add some cubed cheese. Sometimes I’ll mix some italian dressing into it. Other times I’ll leave the dressing out and let my family choose what they want to have that night. We usually keep a lot of different salad dressings on hand. I’ll add a nice crusty bread and we’re good to go in less than 20 minutes.
Cheers!

What great ideas you have gotten for some fast meals. I rely on breakfast for dinner when time is tight. My husband loves breakfast with eggs and bacon and toast and we very seldom have it. So it does make a special quick dinner! And sometimes I even make pancakes with it!!! Love your great ideas.
Cheryl Sims
For a quick meal this busy time of year I stop at a Wawa and pick up an Italian ciabatta melt. Christmas eve I like to pick up crab soup and crab cakes at Wegmans supermarket.
I’ve been enjoying the ideas everyone has been sharing. Thanks for sharing and offering such wonderful blog candy.
Normally it is very cold on Christmas Eve here in NE Ohio for a GA girl. So we want something warm and quick before we head out to church and look at the Christmas lights. A quick meal for us is soup and salad.
On Christmas Eve we always have Chili, Oyster Stew and Shrimp Cocktail, along with cheese and meat trays, lots of crackers and cheeseballs. We usually have a dish of ice cream for dessert, if anyone has room. Thanks for a chance to win.
A quick dinner for us: rotisserie chicken (store bought) with a salad, corn, and minute made rice.
I love your note cards; will have to make some for me.
Ummm…we call for pizza! =)
One of our favorite quick meals is nachos. We put out the meat, beans, rice, greens, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, black olives etc. and everyone serves themselves. If someone is dieting we have baked chips and regular chips.
For a quick meal, I usually grab something that my husband can barbecue, like sausages and then have buns and a salad with it.
I am a little embarrassed to mention that when I need a REALLY quick meal I stop by Little Caesar’s Pizza after working out at Curve’s! I also keep frozen pizzas on hand in my freezer to throw in the oven quick when necessary. Shhhhh! Don’t tell anyone my secret! LOL
We usually have sandwiches or leftovers because we provide a Family Christmas Eve Communion Service at our Church. Then we come home and have homemade cookies and eggnog at the dinner table as we act out the Christmas Story (Luke 2) using the wooden nativity set my husband hand-carved for our children to play with.
That’s a lovely set of cards – especially like the color! My quickest meal is a veggie sandwich :).
Beautiful monogram cards. Love that font. For a quick meal I make a salad. I dip my chicken cutlet into egg and then breadcrumb and I fry it up in olive oil. Then I cut them up into little bite size pieces. I add a salad from a bag, chopped up some onions, a can of chick peas rinsed and drained, sometimes I add some cranberries or oranges or nuts if I have some in my closet. I add the chicken. I serve this with many different dressings as each family member likes different ones and my kids love to dip.
Another beautiful set of cards. As for a quick meal, we are like you, Christmas Eve always seems to be rushed for some reason – but by that time there is usually enough finger foods in the fridge – cheese, crackers, dips, veggies, etc. and we just put it on the table and there always seems to be enough for everyone to fill up.
Very lovely cards! My fav. quick meal is Rotissiere Chicken from the groc.store, with Jasmine rice in the steamer! Love it!
For a quick meal this time of year I pull out spinach tortellini with red sauce. It is a lovely blend of red, green and white and takes five minutes. That might even be dinner tonight! Thanks for the chance to win!
Very nice and elegant!
I love these papers!! What I serve for a busy night–pasta. You just can’t go wrong. I boil the pasta while changing into my pjs and then come down work on the sauce for like 10 mins and bam–its done–with some yummy garlic bread. =)
This post is now closed for entries to the Blog Candy. A winner will be selected later this evening.
Thanks so much everyone for playing!!!

No I’m not here to enter to win.
Just to say Merry Christmas to you and your family Cindy YLM
[…] Monogrammed Gift Sets are probably my absolute FAVORITE thing of all time to make. Using JustRite monogram stamps makes it so easy, and using my Scor-It to create beautiful boxes to present the cards in just tops it off perfectly. A gift that is always a hit. I especially love these 2 sets that I did for Christmas gifts. These are each sets of 6 cards in a box. Tutorials can be seen here and here. […] I created this set for a gift about a year ago and oh yes, the same border again from the Damask Monogram Kit. Honestly, I had NO idea I was using the same border over and over again — too funny!!! This time I used the Special Occasions Font from the Special Occasions Monogram Kit. You can read this post on my blog for further details and close up photos. […]
I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you may have hit the nail on the head. Your thought is excellent; the difficulty is one thing that not sufficient people are talking intelligently about. I am very completely satisfied that I stumbled throughout this in my search for something referring to this.
I think this is among the most significant info for me. And i am glad reading your article. But should remark on few general things, The site style is perfect, the articles is really nice : D. Good job, cheers
I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the structure of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
