JustRite Monogram and May Arts Ribbon

Before I get to my card I’d like to let you know that I’ve listed some

May Arts Ribbon for Sale

on the tab above my blog header. Check it out there or just click here. OK, now on to my card! Today I played the Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS. Kelly H was the Featured Stamper today and what a great gallery! This is her card that I cased, and here’s my finished product:

The moment I saw Kelly’s original design I just knew it was THE one I had to case — it was just so ME!!! Thanks Kelly!!! As you can see, I stuck pretty much to her original, using thesame 2 Cuttlebug Embossing Border Folders and same layout. I changed colors, papers and image. I’ve been wanting for a bit to create a square monogram instead of the traditional round we’ve all been doing, so this was my chance! You’ll note that I did use the DamaskBordersDeluxeKit by JustRite, and this is one of the round borders in the kit; however, in looking at it I figured it could easily go for square, especially with placement of rhinestones in the corners. Well, I didn’t get square, but I got rectangular — close enough for me!!! And I think this round monogram does look square or rectangular today!!! It is cut, embossed and matted using my Rectangle Nestabilities by Spellbinders. I used my favorite sheer ribbon by May Arts to finish if off nicely!

Stamps: Damask Borders Deluxe Kit and Special Occasions Font, both by JustRite

Paper: PTI White, Wassail DP by Basic Grey

Ink: Versa Fine Onyx Black

Accessories: Rectangle Nestabilites by Spellbinders, Kaiser Rhinestones, Glue Glider, Cuttlebug Embossing Border Folders, Thermoweb Foam Mounting Squares, SU Corner Rounder, May Arts Ribbon

Note: Check out Joan’s Garden today. She carries many of the products I’ve used on this card — Basic Grey, Kaiser, Spellbinders, Glue Glider, the mounting squares (which I LOVE by the way, the papers peel off soooo easily) Monday’s are always fun at Joan’s!

Thanks so much for stopping in today — I do so appreciate it!!! Hope you are off to a wonderful week — we are still way, way, way too cold!!! Hope you are enjoying better temps!!! I’ll be back real soon — still have a baby boy project on the back burner that needs to get done!!! And shouldn’t there be a CAS challenge soon — gosh I love those!!! See you soon!

Oh my, this is so lovely!! You did a great job of CASEing the Featured Stamper. Love the red and white and the gorgeous red bow – very dramatic!

It’s not warm here (MA). We just got 12-14″ of snow overnight with more expected later this afternoon. Personally, I’m tired of it all. My tulip, crocus and acronite bulb shoots (which were just beginning to show) will not be blooming any time soon 🙁

I love this card and also Kelly’s original. You inspired me to join the featured stampers challenge for the first time. I check your blog daily and always find inspiration. I ended up casing the same card and even made 5 versions of it. I loved the concept of the card and just couldn’t stop making them. This layout is an elegant and simple design. TFS
