GONE TO POT! — Today’s challenge is somewhat of a play on words — I have always loved word games. Today we will incorporate some kind of a POT into our work — be creative! This idea came to me while I was planting some flowers into a “flower pot”, drinking coffee that had been brewed in a *coffee pot* — you get the idea. Let’s see how many *pots* we can come up with today — be creative and have fun!!!
Today marks our first challenge for June, so that means we have to say so-long to May’s Guest Designer, Barbara Anders. THANK YOU SO MUCH, BARBARA for all your fresh and fun work. We’ve enjoyed it immensely and hope you stick around to play with us all!
And I’m so pleased to introduce our June Guest Designer to you, Sabrina Jackson, from sjbutterflydreams. WELCOME, Sabrina! We are so glad you are here to share your gorgeous creations with us. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Heres myPOTcreation for today:
Yes, as expected, I went the easy route, using a pre-printed image with a flower POT on it! This is another of the pretty and fun images in one ofthe small little image pads called Journal Notes by Crafty Secrets. This image is from Birds and Botanicals. (Editing: I justhad to edit to add that (and I’m laughing so hard) our dear Julieused the EXACTimage that I didon her card, and she did not only 1, but 3 cards using images from this pad — too funny — that’s never happened to me before,2 girls doing SUCH similar cards on the same challenge — LOL!) Using my old dressmaker pinking sheers ( get that? my OLD ones, NOT my new ones), I cut the image and layered it onto navy cardstock, then sewed it down with a simple straight stitch. My fun gingham bow is made with the Bow Easy. A length of silk ribbon is used along with printed DP for the background.
See how I gussied up my pot? I used Christmas Green Flower Soft to create some mossy type growth on the pot, adding in just a touch of Yellow as well. The Flower Soft moss adds a nice touch to this quick and simple card, giving it both dimension and texture. To create my moss, I used the Flower Soft Glue on a toothpick, applyingthe glue where I wanted it. Then sprinkling on the Flower Soft finishes it up so nicely! Quite like doing glue and glitter as a child, only these results are just amazingly different!

Lovely card and guess it’s time to try Flower Soft on something soon. My take on your
gone to pot was off the wall I guess, but then again I usually don’t always interpet things correctly. I hope I at least get credit for the attempt. Pat my card is at
