Stamp Simply #99 – That’s What Friends are For
Today’s challenge is simple — make a card for a friend, for ANY occasion, just make sure the word *friend* appears somewhere on the card front. There are so many fun friend sentiments out there — these will be fun cards to check out! If you don’t happen to have any friend sentiments, you could even hand write friend on a little tag to hang — whatever works — let’s just get very *friendly* today — LOL!!! Have fun with this!
Keyword ssnotime99 – There is no time limit. You can play this challenge and upload your project at Splitcoast and/or your Blog, anytime at all. You (and that means anyone and everyone, blogger or not!) can play as many times as you like!!! The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!! Please link back here.
Today brings a new month of challenges and that means we have to say goodbye to Rose Ann Reynolds, Paper Delightz, our July Guest Designer. It’s been so fun having you, Rose Ann! We have all LOVED your creations as well as your company. But what tells me you just may be back next week????? Stay tuned folks — yes, Rose Ann just MAY be back next week!
And with the new month of August unfolding before us, we welcome probably our FUNNIEST Guest Designer ever! And I say that with total adoration for Pat Adam, The Rubber Maid. I love her beautiful creations and I know you will, too, BUT I must tell you — if you are one to look at pictures and not read text, you will be missing a TON of fun over at The Rubber Maid with each and every post. Take a moment to read, and you’ll surely leave smiling!!! And, for those of you who may not know, Pat is Julie’s Mom! What a duo! Welcome, Pat!!!
The Stamp Simply Challenge turns 100 next week, so you know what we all like to do when there is cause to celebrate — WE CELEBRATE!!!! Be sure to tune in next week for ssnotime100 and LOTS OF FUN!!!

And here is my friendly creation for today:
Simple, fun! I have been totally smitten with cards I’ve been seeing in galleries and on blogs of late done with a new set by Papertrey Ink called Everyday Button Bits. Totally CUTE set!!! Well, I don’t have the set, but I wanted the look, so figured I could do something similar with what I had on hand, and Tart and Tangy by SU immediately came to mind. And I’m sure we all have many sets we could use in a similar fashion. I went for a clean and simple look so my button cherries could take center stage.
My buttons are from the Button Bottles I carry in the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store (cute bottles!) and they are sewn onto the white panel. I lay my buttons where I want them and then punch holes with a piercer through the button holes. They then sew on like a breeze. I colored the stem only on the rubber with an SU marker. Friends was cut with a Tag Nestability. My ribbon on the tag is tied at the base with red Jute String I also carry in the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
This is a simple and fun ribbon treatment. I just adhered the wide gingham on the back of the black panel with a heavy double sided tape. I then ran the narrower gingham under the wide, pulled it up and tied into a little bow. I then stuck a glue dot under the bow so it would stay to the side where I wanted it. To me gingham says “summer” — summer, cherries and friends — what could be better!

I DID finally get the watering can image all the girls did at our Stampin’ in the UP event last weekend, so the demo card that Deb and I did jointly will be coming real soon! Thanks — have a great weekend!

Beautiful!
Well, IN NO WAY should I really be submitting this card, but I did make the attempt, so check it out Here . I tried that paper piecing thing I’ve been seeing, by cutting out the actual berries and then popping them up a little. Oh well, I have such a good friend to send this to, she’ll think it’s great – that’s what kind of friend she is!!
Adorable card! Here’s mine.
This is the first time I’ve played along. This was fun!
