And here’s my color challenge card for today:
I haven’t done a monogram card in ages and I figured it was about time! Today I used the smaller 1 3/16″ Damask Monogram Kit by JustRite. Love this tiny monogram — leaves a lot of room to add the extras to really make it pop! And as for the color challenge, I went with the soft colors found in the Le Romantique pad by Graphic 45. The pink is more of a blush/almost peachy type color and the green is a very soft sage green — totally gorgeous colors!!! And I got in a little brown accent which also shows up in the LeRomantique collection! Perfect!!!
Using the smaller 1 3/16 Damask Monogram Kit (1 3/16 Wood Stamper with 3 Bonus Damask Centers and 60 pt Font) I had plenty of room to add lots of diecuts under it — lovin’ this look!!! The Spellbinders dies I used to create this layered monogram are: Petite Circle Nestabilies (4 pack), Labels Thirteen Nestabilities, and Fancy Tags Shapeabilities. The Fancy Tag was too long, so I just cut it in the middle to shorten it up. It’s underneath, so who’s to know! I dressed up my Damask Monogram with Kaiser Pearls in Blush and Chocolate.
The DP used is from an 8×8 pad by Graphic 45, Le Romantique — such beautiful colors and elegant patterns. This ribbon is my new 1/2″ Wrinkled Ribbon, not quite the silk I love, but a GREAT substitute when you want a narrower ribbon at a very reasonable price! I did NOT use the Bow Easy here. I merely wrapped the ribbon around the card front and tied a quick little bow!
Here are the graphics for the 1 3/16 Damask Monogram Kit (my name) — it’s actually called the 1 3/16 Wood Stamper with 3 Bonus Damask Centers and 60 pt Font. I’ve had a true fondness for the JustRite Monogram Kits since the first time I set my eyes on them several years ago, and this one is a true favorite of mine. Love it’s petite size and love the fact that you get all you need in the Kit. Kits like this are perfect for gift giving, whether a gift for someone else or just a little treat for yourself!
