JustRite for Father’s Day

Today I used a new set from JustRite’s June release for a card for my Dad for Father’s Day.  I started out planning to use the new Nested Frames, but once the card took shape, I changed my mind — it’s a woman’s prerogative, you know!  I liked just the sentiment cut with the dies on this card, so I ran with it.  There’s always another day to try out the Nested Frames.   Here it is:

A masculine card using classic papers I love from the A Proper Gentlemen 8×8 pad by Graphic 45.  I have it available individually here, or as a complete KIT here.  I often omit ribbon on a masculine card, but I thought this black/ivory 1.5″ Striped Grosgrain worked perfectly with these papers and spiced it up a bit.

My Just for You is from one of JustRite’s new June releases — All Occasions Nested Sentiments ($14.95). This sentiment set is designed to fit inside the Nested Frames and that is where I was headed when I started — but we’ll get to the Nested Frames next time!  I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags dies to cut/mount my sentiment and black Kaiser Pearls for accent. VersaFine Onyx Black ink was used.

These new Nested Frames and sentiments to fill them are designed to work with the NEW Clear Rectangle Stampers by JustRite ($23.95).  The Clear Stampers come in a set of 2 horizontal rectangles, and I’ve received SO many emails asking if it is really necessary to purchase the new clear stampers if one already has the wooden rectangle stampers.  Well, it just depends.  These stampers were designed to work with the new Nested Frames and Centers — they fit perfectly and they are clear so you can see right through them — and we all know the value of clear stamps!  Ideally, the new June release Nested Frames and Sentiment stamps work best on the new clear rectangle stampers; however, I will say if you are on a budget and want the new stamps but can’t afford the clear stampers at this time, they will most definitely fit on the LARGEST of the wooden rectangle stampers.  Neither Nested Frame (large or small) will fit on the small wooden rectangle stamper — it’s off just a bit and won’t work.  But you can use the largest of the wooden rectangle stampers – it’s not the ideal situation, it’s a bit too large which causes some stamping issues, and it doesn’t allow you to see through for placement or if you wanted to stamp the frames in different colors on the same piece, but it would work in a pinch until you can get the clear stampers.  Once working with the clear stampers that fit the new Nested Frames properly you will see and understand the differences better.

Now just a word on those new clear rectangle stampers — I will say, I LOVED them — actually more than I thought I would — LOL!!!  The stamps just snapped into the grids so easily and quickly and my impression was perfect, first time, with no ink shadowing.  I did stamp many of the Nested Frames even though I didn’t use them tonight and I was truly one happy camper with the new clear stampers!!!

OK, back to my card — just a side view to show the inside.  When I use a card base of dark cardstock, I like to lighten up the inside to make it easy to write/read.  I don’t get fancy on the insides — just something simple to coordinate with the card front.

All items used to make this card (except the SU cardstock, Black and Vanilla) are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  Links are above in the text.  Just email me at [email protected] to order, along with your state/zip OR country so I can calculate postage.

Gorgeous Sharon, so glad you showed the inside of the card as well, I rarely think to do that (decorate it I mean). It truly finishes the card and gives it a complete look.

Love your Father’s Day card, Sharon. Neat idea on the inside of the card also. Did not think of incorporating the two fancy tags and they really are sharp together.

Beautiful card for a very special man, hope your Dad is doing well.
