STAMP SIMPLY SATURDAY HOP – DRESSED IN WHITE!

Another Saturday Hop — and today we are all dressed in our finest whites (or ivory) – ribbon, that is!  I’ve had several requests to put together ribbon packages of all whites, and it’s been on my to-do list forever.  I am so pleased to finally get to it — and I couldn’t stop with whites!  I HAD to add ivory as well.  Check out my sample card first and then scroll down to see my new White and Ivory Ribbon Samplers.

My Dressed in White card turned into a Dressed in Ivory card — sometimes that happens!!!  I TOTALLY believe in going with the flow!!!  We have a wedding to attend in a couple weeks and this is for the newlyweds with their last name monogram serving as the focal point.  Designer paper used is from LeRomantique by Graphic 45 with Vanilla and So Saffron SU cardstock.  Ink is VersaFine Vintage Sepia and Spellbinders dies are my Circle Nesties and Fancy TagsChocolate Kaiser Pearls dress up the focal image.

I used the 2″ Round Wide Borders by JustRite and Special Occasion Font.  The 2″ Round Wide Borders can be purchased as a set of borders or in the complete 2″ Round Duluxe Monogram Kit which gives you the Borders, Font and the required 2″ Wood Stamper.

The ribbon detail is always such a fun part of cardmaking for me.  I’m hoping you can see the Tulle behind the silk bow.  It is 6″ wide Tulle that I just got in and I’m totally loving playing with it.  It is taped on the back of the panel, scrunched up to fit into a 2 1/2″ space (remember, it is 6″ wide) and then shirred in the center with a piece of 1/4″ Silk.  The Ivory Silk Bow, made on the Bow Easy, is glued on.  My stick pin was fun and VERY inexpensive.  I’ve been using common pins (sewing pins) for my stick pins of late.  I love them.  They are small, light weight, have sharp points and are very economical at a box of 120 for $4.50.  These have pearlized heads in multi colors.  The box can be seen on this page (scroll down). I used a gold headed pin today, added some amber colored beads from the beading section of any craft store (Wal-Mart even) and used an earring back as the stopper on the bottom — a tip from Sabrina a year or two ago!!!
