Today I have a clean and simple masculine sympathy card, but first let’s announce the winner from last Saturday’s Ribbon Inspiration challenge.  We worked with a Valentine theme and this is what was up for grabs:

I have a quick and easy, clean and simple, masculine themed sympathy card to show you today.  I made this card about 2 weeks ago.  Again, my boys requested that it be as plain as possible and totally flat — so it is!

This card uses 3 different sentiments from the new With Sympathy set by JustRite, a large clear set filled with appropriate sentiments and images for sympathy cards.  I used two on the card front and one inside.  This is very plain and flat (as requested).  I used a piece of designer paper from a Christmas pad I had opened, and I didn’t write it down and can no longer remember where it came from — sorry — but it’s just a darkish burgundy subtle print.  I used Burlap String in burgundy to add a bit of texture.  I simply placed a 1/4″ strip of Scor Tape across the card front and then wrapped my string around the card.  With the Scor Tape it sticks tight on the front — very easy.

And here’s the card inside using another sentiment from JustRite’s With Smpathy, a clear set.
