Fancy Tag, CAS Card and NEW Ribbon!

Linda’s been so busy!  Today she has a gorgeous Christmas tag to share, using my absolute MOST favorite sheet from Kaisercraft’s Just Believe pad — the sage colored sheet with the silver metallic vines — that is SUCH a pretty pad and, of course, in Linda’s hands it turns to gold!  After seeing this tag I HAD to take out that pad and use that sheet, too – LOL!  Take a peek at Linda’s beautiful tag first:

Isn’t it gorgeous!  Thank you SO much, Linda!

Linda used:

Well, talk about the power of suggestion.  As I said, I HAD to pull out that sheet and create after seeing Linda’s tag.  I had previously pulled out this pad and that was the first sheet I tore out – but something else came up and I never got to make anything.  Well, I was up super early this morning and after seeing Linda’s tag, I decided NOW was the time.  I also used the same stamp set Linda used.  Here’s the CAS card I made:

This is a standard 5.5 x 4.25″ card using SU Very Vanilla Cardstock.

Designer Paper:  Just Believe by Kaisercraft – see the entire Just Believe Collection here

Stamp Set:  JustRite’s Noel Christmas Ornaments, a large clear set

Die set: Spellbinders 2012 Heirloom Ornaments

I stamped the ornament image from Noel Christmas Ornaments using Versa Mark onto a sheet of paper from the Just Believe pad, embossed it using Super Fine Silver Embossing Powder and then cut the image with the 2012 Heirloom Ornaments die set.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Edging was done with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Bundled Sage.

And I did something that you can’t even see — lesson learned — I can skip this the next time I use a bow of this size.  The stamp set used has a nice topper for the ornament.  I stamped it, silver embossed it and hand cut it out.  Then I attached it to the ornament top and punched a hole in it for the Silver cord to run through.  Well, it IS there, but totally covered by my bow.  So, using a bow of this size you really could skip that step.  But it is very attractive and finishes off the ornament nicely if you wanted to go bow-less or used a smaller bow.

And, of course, I added just a bit of bling – my two Silver Rhinestones.

The ornament is elevated with 3D Foam Squares and hung with Silver String.

My bow is made of Seam Binding (Cream) and was made on the Original Bow Easy.

Tip: I’ve mentioned this before, but I will again.  When elevating elements on a card, if those elements are cut from designer paper, I like to cut a similar shape from cardstock and use it as a backing, just to make the popped up image more substantial and stronger.
