Still Another Sympathy Card
Another week and another funeral. Praying this trend stops already. I again had no card on hand so had to make something quickly. It was an elderly gentleman who died, so I didn’t want too much frilly embellishment, but it is going to his widow, who is herself a stamper, so I thought she might appreciate something with a bit more interest than the typical CAS cards I usually do for masculine funerals.
This is what I came up with. I went with the strips of paper instead of ribbon to keep it a bit more masculine.
Paper: Marigold by Kaisercraft
Stamps: Large Elegant Sentiments, a NEW clear stamp set by JustRite
Dies: Spellbinders/JustRite co-branded Die Set – Vintage Labels Four
Ink: Versa Fine Vintage Sepia, Tim Holtz Distress Ink for edging. I used Antique Linen, but accidentally grabbed a Sponge Dauber with a darker ink on it, so I got a mix of I’m not sure what!
Miscellaneous: Kaisercraft Rhinestones (Bronze); Scor Tape; 3D Foam Squares
A closer look at the detail. The fishtails were hand cut with scissors. Gorgeous paper pad.
