When you are a southern belle, living in sunny Florida, married to a Yooper boy from Iron Mountain, you send your mother-in-law a Yooper Mother’s Day card! LOL. I LOVE what Deb did with this card for her mother-in-law. The way she colored and splattered the UP map is truly amazing! Take a look:

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Michigan and its two peninsulas this is a very localized card, but just check out the fun layout and gorgeous papers and imagine a more typical image in place of the map!

Deb went with cherry themed paper as her mother-in-law always has a bowl of cherries on the table when Deb visits there each summer – how special!

And for those of you who do appreciate projects featuring The Yoop, note how Deb colored (all those shadows along the roads) and splattered her map. It has such a wonderful and realistic look to it – I am smitten!

And the rhinestone on the map marks the specific town!

Deb added the appropriate Mother’s Day greeting to the card front.

The theme is carried through to the inside with coordinated paper and the ink splatters.
