Holly starts us off this Monday with some super gorgeous books on a congratulations card. This card would serve well for so many purposes. Graduation comes to mind first, followed by retirement, or even some well deserved leisure time ahead to read and enjoy. A simple swap of sentiment would make this card perfect for so many things – birthday, thinking of you, get well, encouragement, etc.

I love the rich look of these marbled book spines. I think using this particular paper gives them a bit more of a feminine flair, but not necessarily so.

Holly simply stamped the book stamp onto a piece of designer paper and cut with the die – super EASY! She mounted the die cut books onto black cardstock to really make them stand out.

To bring in a bit of the gold color, Holly added a bit of stenciling on the left side of the card.

The books and sentiment are from the NEW A Man of Knowledge by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The sentiment banner was created with Fishtail Sentiment Banners by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

That gorgeous designer paper is Ink Drops Ocean by Craft Consortium.

The stenciling is done with Tile by Tim Holtz.

Holly used Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp the books and VersaMark (embossed in gold) for the sentiment.
