Although irises come in a variety of colors, I must say that purple is the color I think of first and foremost for this gorgeous flower. Esther created a beautiful iris themed card for us today using our NEW Happy Day Iris along with some fun backgrounds and textures to further elevate this lovely card.

There is a lot of fun stuff going on here – so pretty!

The lovely floral is from Happy Day Iris by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

This card shows us 3 different ways to achieve beautiful texture on your project.

1) The vellum circle under the iris is embossed with the Lace embossing folder by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

It was cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles.

2) The Flourish stencil by Tim Holtz (Sizzix) was used with gesso and purple embossing powder.

3) And along the borders the lace was cut using the Crochet die by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

Esther stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

She added Kaisercraft Pearls in Black as accents.

And here’s the card inside with a simple floral and sentiment using the same set.
