This time of year it’s all about flowers! Our summers are rather short here in Upper Michigan, so I truly enjoy every day with flowers in bloom. Esther used our Pretty Poppies on her card today. The crisp red and white here reminds me of the vintage redwork that was once so popular in embroidery used on quilts and table linens.

Esther created a lovely backdrop for her florals and with the sentiment chosen this works for a sympathy card or for a card any time someone is in need of prayer – which is pretty much any time and/or all the time!

The Crochet die by Tim Holtz (Sizzix) will cut a similar lace border.

Esther used a Red Gingham ribbon for a lovely accent!

Esther stamped in VersaFine Clair Nocturne and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

Truly lovely! The torn paper edges are a nice touch, too, adding to the vintage charm.
