Tartan Plaid Stocking and Mitten Tags – by Deb Saaranen
Tartan Plaid papers. We just can’t get enough!!! They are SO PERFECT for Christmas projects and work up into the CUTEST stockings and mittens for fun tags and cards. Deb created 3 such tags for us today, then she took one of the tags and showed us how to whip it up into a quick card if need be. We love this idea! Tags are super fun to make, handy to keep on hand and wonderful to use if you need a quick card.
Now can we say SWEET or what!!! Totally LOVE these!
The colors are just so very vibrant and bright and cheery, topped off with the perfect ribbons, too!
All that luscious plaid paper is from Tartan Plaid by Craft Consortium.
The stockings, mittens, snowflakes and 2 of the sentiments are from Christmas Stockings & Mittens by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
The sentiment stamped in blue is from Snowflake Blessings Border Strip by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.
All the tags were cut using Tag Collection dies by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).
Deb topped her tags off with the perfect ribbons. They are:
May Arts 5/8′ Twill – variety of colors in stock
Burlap String – variety of colors in stock

And how fun are these mittens.
Deb added some tiny “snowballs” from her stash of supplies.
This is the tag that Deb decided to turn into a quick card.
Using the same paper base for the card, Deb added the Snowflake Blessings Border Strip by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps to the card base.
The sentiment used on this card is also in that same stamp set.
And here you have your quick card that started out as a tag.
