Hot and Fiery Fall Tags – by Julie Gearinger

As we continue our Week of Tags, today we share some absolutely gorgeous scripture tags from Julie in the hot and fiery colors of fall. Yellows, golds, orangey-reds and purple on the gorgeous backdrop allow the golden wheat and black sentiments to just POP!!! This is an inky and technique laden project, lending stunning results!

There is so much to look at here – and such rich and dynamic color!!!

These tags would also make great little bookmark gifts!

We’ll start with the top layer (what you see on top) and work our way down.

That gorgeous wheat is from Autumn Silhouettes by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

All three scripture verses used are contained in the same stamp set as the wheat – total bonus!

The lovely flourish design is stenciled using the Flourish stencil by Tim Holtz.

The subtle scripty stamping in the background is done using Scripty Background Minis Set 2 by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The ink blended background is done in a variety of colors using Distress Oxide Inks.

The tag is cut using the Tag Collection dies by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

And Seam Binding topped off the tags.

Inks used are VersaMark, Clear Embossing Powder, VersaFine Onyx Black and Distress Inks in a variety of colors.

So gorgeous!

And what all is happening here – ink blending, background stamping, stenciling, heat embossing and emboss resist.

These solid image stems are long, allowing for more layout options. If you want short stems, you can just stamp off the paper. And these 2 groups of stems are designed to be overlaid, one easily stamped on top of another.
