In Honor of our Veterans – by Deb Saaranen

Memorial Day will be here before we know it, celebrated this year on May 29. Though many think of Memorial Day as a long weekend with picnics scheduled, let us not forget our Veterans who sacrificed their lives so that we have the freedom and liberty to have that long weekend and enjoy that picnic!

Deb made two cards to share with us today – both clean and simple using minimal supplies.

And might I add – clean and simple but VERY impactful.

Both sentiments are from Patriotic Sentiments by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The one sentiment is cut with Fishtail Sentiment Banners by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

Deb used watercolor cardstock for the card and panels and applied watercolors with a wide fairly dry brush.

She also painted more paper in the same fashion to cut her stars.

The stars were cut using the die in our Old Glory Bundle by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

Deb stamped the sentiments with VersaFine Clair Blue Belle ink.

Beautifully done to honor our Veterans.

A simply perfect card to give to a family member letting them know you acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifice.

Likewise, the 2nd card.

So many sacrifices made by so many. Let them know you do remember.
