Tri-fold Poppy Card – by Esther Asbury

Good morning! There is so much to love about Esther’s card for today I don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with the fact that it is a coffee/tea card. Yes, a lovely tea cup holds a beautiful bouquet of red poppies. It also contains a verse from scripture, which I always love, as there is no lovelier way to share God’s word than through a hand made card. Add to those elements that it is a beautiful tri-fold design in rich colors with gorgeous backgrounds that Esther created and we have a total winner!

This shot gives you a good look at this tri-fold card opened up so you can see it all at once.

Now we’ll take it panel by panel.

Oh goodness, how very pretty!

The poppies are from Pretty Poppies by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The die cut greenery poking out is from Two Sprigs by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The tea cup is from Coffee or Tea? by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The tea tag was cut with Tag Collection by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

The background is stenciled using the Flourish stencil by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

The bow uses our Seam Binding for a simple and lovely accent.

The center panel of this tri-fold card is dedicated to Psalm 23.

The large scripture verse is from Deepest Sympathy by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

I love that Esther created a clean white panel on which to write a personal message.

This makes a beautiful sympathy card, but I always feel that Psalm 23 is so comforting for so many reasons and seasons in a person’s life that it could be used for a variety of purposes.

The sentiment on this panel is from Typewritten Year Round Greetings by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

All the black is stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink – nice and crisp for sentiments.
