Birdhouse Treat Box – by Deb Felts

Good morning to all! Deb is here today sharing a super darling project. It’s a small box in the shape of a birdhouse, complete with bird and branches, ready to accept some small candies for an Easter basket or a special treat in and of itself. We are totally smitten with this project and know you will be, too!

Is this sweet, or what!!!

The bird, branches and sentiment are all from God Will Take Care of You by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The sentiment tag was cut with Tag Collection by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).

The designer paper used is from Beach Hut by Craft Consortium.

Deb used border dies to create the shingle effect on the roof – exact die unknown – find Border Dies here.

Spellbinders Standard Circles (large) were used to create the birdhouse opening.

Spellbinders Standard Squares (small) were used to cut the side panels.

Deb stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.

A bit of jute string and a button from her stash were used as the perfect accents.

Here’s a closer view of the bird perched near her door.

And here is the upper portion of the birdhouse with the scripture tag.

I love the shade of blue used here, representative of the sky.

And here the roof is popped off so you can see how it was made.

This is a modified 2-4-6-8 box that makes a cute Spring/Easter gift (template here). It would be cute and yummy filled with jellybeans or chocolate almonds, small enough to tuck into an Easter basket.
