We often think of shabby or vintage cards as being really done up with a lot of different embellishments, etc; however, Julie’s card today still carries that vintage vibe while being quite simple to create and flat for mailing. The combination of woodgrain, dry embossing and distressed edges all add to the shabby/vintage feel without adding a lot of extra bulk to the card.

The sentiment is from Farmhouse Simple Sentiments by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

The embossed background was done with the Lace embossing folder by Tim Holtz (Sizzix).
