This morning I shared some birthday cards using the Distress Oxide Inks, and this evening I’d like to share these multi-purpose Hello cards with beautiful Altenew Butterflies. We also made these cards in one of our Saturday classes. Take a look:

You can get such intense colors with the Oxide Inks and I LOVE that!

This card was made using the smooshing technique that I talked about here.

The Distress Oxide Ink colors on this card are Broken China, Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio.

This butterfly was stamped using the Red Cosmo Altenew Ink Cube.

To create this background I taped a stencil over the white cardstock and using the Ink Blending Tool I worked in the three colors as shown, blending them together. Before removing the stencil I lightly spritzed with water, carefully removed the stencil, then heat dried.

To compare and contrast, this is a similar panel I created with the same stencil, but this time I did not spritz with water after stenciling. Again, I can’t express strongly enough how much I LOVE the vibrancy of the colors achieved with the Distress Oxide Inks.

The Distress Oxide Ink colors on this panel are Broken China, Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade.
