Bo Bunny Country Garden Butterflies

Published by at 12 24 am under Bo Bunny,Bow Easy,General Purpose Cards

Earlier this evening I attended a small gathering of local stampers.  It was a last minute invitation I received, and I needed to bring a card along that had butterflies on it.  Well, do you think I could find a card already made up with a butterfly?  Of course not!  So what do I do in a rush?  Well, pull out some die cuts, ribbon, flowers and rhinestones!  This is what I came up with:

The shaped card front is actually from a package of Noteworthy die cuts by Bo Bunny that coordinate with the Country Garden collection.   The die cut was larger than this card and in a photo below you can see how I used the portion cut off on the card inside.  My card is cut square — I’m thinking about 4 1/4″ (it’s gone now so I can’t check any more), with the shaped portion of the die cut extending beyond the card top.  Once made, I just layered on the embellishments.

The oval piece and the popped up butterfly were also die cuts from the same Noteworthy  package in the County Garden collection.

I added Kaisercraft Rhinestones in Light Pink.

The lace is 5/8″ Crochet Lace in White with 1/8″ Silk in Pink run through the center.

The bow is 1/4″ Silk in Pink, made on the Original Bow Easy.

The delicate pink flower is by Prima from the Lady Godiva collection in Strawberry Ice.

Scor Tape and 3D Foam Squares were used as adhesives, along with Aleene’s glue.

And here’s the card inside.  You can see how the lace/silk was wrapped around the card front and you can also see the piece of the large die cut that was cut off when making my card front.

All items used on this card are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

And that’ll do it for today.

You still have time to enter for your chance at winning this week’s blog candy — check out this post to do so.

Thanks so much for stopping in!  MUCH appreciated!

Have a wonderful week and we’ll see you real soon!

I swear that one day Sharon, I’ll be half as creative as you. (ha ha) Your cards are so dreamy. Ribbon has to be the most elegant way to finish any card, be it Feminine or Masculine or whatever. I always look so forward to see what you come up with next. great job.
