I attended a funeral earlier this week for a lovely lady of 97 years.  She was a member of our church and spent the last year in a nursing home.  Prior to that she was living alone and taking care of herself.  Interesting to note is that she had her picture in our local newspaper the week before she died.  She and another friend celebrated their 80th high school reunion. Sylvia lived a full life with a sweet and kind spirit. She was a lovely lady who will be fondly remembered, so I wanted to make a fitting card for her family.  I have a fondness for pretty paper and pretty ribbon, so that was my direction for this card.  Take a look:

Ribbon: May Arts  Silk Ribbon – 1/4″ in Tiffany Blue and Taupe – 1.25″ in Taupe

I wrapped a double strand of ribbon (1 blue, 1 taupe) around the legs 3 times for this bow.

Flowers:   Petaloo Botanica Minis – Pink

I like to make cards this size for a couple reasons:

1) It gives me a bit larger canvas on which to work;

2) The Kaisercraft sheets are 6.5″ and it allows me to use the full design without cutting any off (not done today, but I usually do use the full 6.5 width/length).
