Miracles Happen (for the grad) – by Sharon Johnson

Good Friday morning!

I am popping in today with a quick post showing you my LAST grad card for this year. I started off in early May thinking I only needed 4 cards for girls from church (this post), and as the months progressed I ended up needing another 6 cards. This last one resorts back to a favorite quick and easy fold to hold a check that I can whip up in truly just a few minutes after making dozens upon dozens of them over the years. Take a look:

I love this encouraging and uplifting verse for grads.

This card is in the classic black and white that I have come to use so often for grad cards. If you make them ahead you can never go wrong as they are suitable for either gender.

This is my standard, simple, money holder that I’ve shared so often. Sorry, I forgot to photo the inside and the card has been mailed off, but here’s the measurements:

  • Using a 1/2 sheet of paper (5.5 x 8.5″) score at 2″ and 6″. Fold.
  • The 2″ flap is the pocket and the larger flap is the top.
  • Decorate the card front with designer paper and add an overhanging focal feature and you are done!

I lightened up this photo a bit so you could see the detail to the grad cap. {{{ Love }}} this cap and the companion diploma, both from one die set (linked below).

When I said I can whip this card up in a few minutes, I truly can, but I must admit that needing so many grad cards each spring, I always keep one cello bag filled with graduation sentiments stamped in black on white paper and another bag filled with grad caps and diplomas die cut from black paper.

Doing this allows me to make a grad card in minutes. It’s just a matter of placement and adhering.

Here are the supplies I used:
