Mother’s Day is on May 11 this year. Deb Saaranen created this absolutely lovely card for her Mom using our Happy Day Iris set for both the floral and the sentiment, hoping it reminds her Mom of the irises she used to grow years ago. I am absolutely loving this shaped scripture card of encouragement from Deb Saaranen. It is so delicate in appearance done in such soft colors.

Deb cut the butterfly from watercolor cardstock and added color with Ranger Distress Ink and Oxide Sprays.

Good Friday morning to all on this Good Friday. Wishing you all a wonderful Easter weekend as we begin today, Good Friday, reflecting on the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross, but only to be overcome by His resurrection on Easter morning. A reason to rejoice and celebrate! And Deb’s lovely scripture card for today tells us to ‘Sing to Him a new song”, songs of thanksgiving, praise and worship, sung from the heart. YES, Easter is a reason to celebrate new life and hope through the sacrificial acts of Jesus. So let us sing —

And I found it particularly meaningful that in staging this photo Deb used a hymnal page for the song entitled Under His Wings, perfectly flowing with the theme today. There is another stamp in the set she used with that very verse from scripture! Perfectly done!
